Good news! The Dashbit team (Steffen, Wojtek, Jonatan, and myself) has some availability to take on new clients. If you'd like to work with us, discuss architecture, review critical components, and more, DM me or reach out at dashbit.co!

Cloudflare is Big Elixir
if you squint just a little bit Cloudflare DOs are not unlike Erlang/Elixir processes... ...and this sort of makes the Cloudflare platform like a planet-wide BEAM cluster.

Introducing "cf", an agentic CLI for the entire Cloudflare API. You can do nearly anything. Even buying a domain is incredibly simple from the CLI. Don't know what command you need? Run `cf cli search "look at messages stuck in my queue"` and it will return a list of relevant commands. blog.cloudflare.com/cloudfla…

Letting an LLM run code inside your app sounds reckless. Legion makes it boring. Lua VM in pure @elixirlang, timeout and memory budgets, and the only way out is the modules you hand it. Watch one rebuild its own landing page – link below 👇

Having a baby is expensive, so I'm selling ad space → 11 premium placements across the infant → varied locations and pricing → your logo gets 10,000+ steps/day of brand visibility across a ~79-year campaign

Tidewave now ships with a design canvas. It has been so useful internally that we're kicking ourselves for not shipping it earlier! Our design canvas: * Works with any coding agent * Runs inside your web application, so it can easily access and reuse your themes while you experiment * Is a stand-alone HTML file that you can share on Slack, check into version control, etc. * Is free! Just install the Tidewave package for Phoenix/Rails/Vite and enjoy: tidewave.ai/toolbar#download Here’s a tiny coffee shop demo you can play with: tidewave.hexdocs.pm/assets/c… Once we added the canvas, we used it as an opportunity to redesign Tidewave’s theme, iterating on both the source code and the canvas at the same time. There was no need to import projects, generate DESIGN.md files, etc, because everything is just files on your machine. Implementation-wise, the canvas is a handful of Web Components. LLMs are great at writing JS + HTML, so imposing a framework such as React only gets in the way. If a library or framework is needed, the agents can decide for themselves.

It still slaps 3 years later with a team of 9 devs
Only in @elixirlang can you have a team of 2 developers shipping 1. Lua integration for end-users 2. Binary protocol for firmware 3. Globally connected IOT devices 4. State propagation via CRDTs 5. Real-time UI displaying events 7. End-to-end integration tests ...in 3 months

I just released a new version of broadway_kafka (for @elixirlang), adding support for static membership. That was a blocker for us at @knocklabs for using this: without this, a k8s rolling deploy causes LONG consumption pauses = no bueno. Give it a try 🙃

Bye Felicia 👋
I'm so close to saying "fuck Elixir" forever. It *really* sucks at hard problems. Its dog shit performance cannot be hidden under the guise of distribution.

It deserves a full write up, but Lua v1.0.0 (and now v1.0.2) has been released, with benchmarks! This is a full @elixirlang implementation of Lua 5.3. Perfect for executing untrusted code from users, or for running Code Mode with Agents. deflua.com

Hey @davydog187 thanks for the lua hex package. Using it for an MCP Code Mode API and it's exactly the right fit for the need.
