As of 2026 Burkina Faso has had 1 president for 41% of the country’s history. The same man that murdered Sankara held power for nearly 3 decades. The Traoré government is the 4th coup leadership since Sankara’s killer was overthrown in 2014. Nobody cared about democracy until AES

Africans leave home hoping to build better lives in America. African Americans leave America hoping to build better lives elsewhere. But mobility does not guarantee escape from the reach of imperialism or the vulnerabilities produced by colonial relations.

Burkina Faso Adds The Haitian Revolution To Its Secondary School Curriculum
As part of its continuing efforts to decolonize its information space, Burkina Faso is introducing the Haitian Revolution into its secondary school curriculum.
This move comes one year after Mali suspended the teaching of the French Revolution from its own secondary school curriculum, and signals the determination of both nations to raise a generation of truly conscious Africans.
The rest of Africa would do well to follow this example. No African child should grow up believing that they are inferior to anyone. They should grow up knowing about their glorious history and the battles fought and won for them by those who came before. They should grow up knowing about the West’s invasion of their continent, the reign of t*rror that followed, the liberation struggles waged to end this reign.
Every African child should grow up knowing about the enslaved Africans in the then French colony of Saint-Domingue who rebelled against their oppressors in 1791, and were never defeated until they founded the modern world’s first free black republic in 1804.

Bukele been talking about Haiti for over 10 years, damn😭
Se equivoca Sr. Cuadra, si las empresas buscarán incentivos fiscales, Haití fuera una potencia, por sus impuestos bajísimos @EleccionesTCS
It’s already bloody
“Do what you have to do:” Trump greenlights @nayibbukele’s troop surge in Haiti.
It could get bloody

"Bukele's gang offensive" is itself fascist propaganda. There was never a "gang offensive" in El Salvador. There were pacts, deals and direct assistance in eluding US indictments.

Dr. Jemima’s Pierre analysis on Haiti is not just good, but also has been the most consistent— despite colonial apologist Gilley’s attacks on her analysis.
Something else: “well-meaning” analysts making reference to a Haitian “government” are wrong. It doesn’t exist.

They're using Haiti ad a test case for invasion of Cuba and other Caribbean countries, and of course Caribbean people by and large part aren't paying any attention to the treacherous plans of imperial colonisation the Trump regime has for the region.
Before sending his troops to Haiti, Bukele called Trump. "Do what you have to do," Trump told him. "Bukele told the president he was confidant he could do the job. But it might get messy," a source told @axios. The US wants to keep its hands clean and Haiti “off the radar.”

Well.... El Salvador is going to be entangled in Haiti for the next 5 to 10 years because small, insignificant States like El Salvador CANNOT move a muscle in the Western Hemisphere without the CIA's direct involvement and without the President of USA's approval because that is the territory of the USA.
Troops cannot be deployed without the explicit coordination and enablement of the USA.
What we are seeing is the Super Power, giving a marching order and a task to a Developing country to try to clean up its neighbourhood while it focuses elsewhere.
This is all part of the same Global order breaking down, where nations are making moves outside of the Post-WWII global order and outside of the UN mechanism of control, law and order.
Signal, not noise!

Another cargo flight from El Salvador to Haiti today. Flights bringing personnel have been hidden on flight trackers. Meanwhile we now know the US and Colombian military have helped with logistics. Further, the Dominican Republic has offered its support and is serving as logistical hub for the delivery of helicopters and other equipment. Haiti, once again a laboratory for regional security policies.
Haiti deserves peace. What could an alternative approach look like?

🇭🇹 Two Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) aid workers were killed Tuesday evening in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
NRC condemned the killings and called on Haitian authorities and the international community to protect civilians and end impunity for violence. It did not say who was responsible for the attacks.
We are utterly heartbroken by learning of the brutal killing of two wonderful NRC colleagues yesterday in Port‑au‑Prince, Haiti.
Our two colleagues, Bonaparte Février and Richard Alexandre, were cherished friends and colleagues within our NRC family in Haiti and across the world.
They worked tirelessly as key members of our heroic Haiti team to prevent and alleviate the growing suffering of their fellow Haitians. We mourn with their families and condemn the senseless violence that took the lives of two young men who only wished to provide aid and protection to vulnerable communities that suffer so much from the endemic violence and displacement that has engulfed so many in Haiti.
We call on all parties concerned, including Haitian authorities as well as the international community, to do everything in their power to protect civilians, uphold international law, and prevent further violence.
Neither the Haitian society nor the outside world can tolerate that civilians, including aid workers, are killed with impunity.
We owe it to Bonaparte and Richard to continue their humanitarian mission in Haiti and to bear witness to the atrocities there.
They will always be remembered and we will always be grateful for their vital contribution to our humanitarian work in Haiti and elsewhere.

🇭🇹 A Haitian advocacy group is accusing Salvadoran forces of bombing civilians near Port-au-Prince, telling UN Secretary-General António Guterres in an open letter that "children are being killed not by gangs, but by foreign bombs."
🔹Despite its name, the United Nations Association-Haiti is not part of the UN but a diaspora advocacy group. Founder Harvey Dupiton, a Croix-des-Bouquets native, wrote that since Oct. 22, Salvadoran troops have hit civilian neighborhoods there and in nearby Canaan with airstrikes, helicopter gunships and heavy weapons. "Our families tell us they are hiding under beds," he added.
🔹President Nayib Bukele significantly expanded the deployment to over 2000 troops after gangs kidnapped four Salvadoran technicians serving with the UN-authorized Gang Suppression Force on Oct. 18.
🔹The group demanded an immediate halt to Salvadoran "offensive bombing operations," a UN investigation into civilian deaths and a Security Council statement that El Salvador "has no right to wage unilateral war in Haiti."
