A U.S. Federal Court has ruled in favor of President Bola Tinubu, denying a motion to compel him to participate in discovery proceedings tied to an ongoing FOIA records lawsuit against the FBI and DEA.
The judge rejected claims from the plaintiff as completely irrelevant and disproportionate to the core records dispute. The Nigerian Presidency has clarified that this remains a civil records-disclosure case involving U.S. archives, not a criminal matter.
