Tim Martin will be sending this young Duty Manager at Wetherspoons his marching orders tomorrow morning.
Tim is a proud patriot and a supporter of the Royal British Legion.
I hope he has enough money to pay off his student loan.
I bet this lad would be mortified if he knew he was working in Britain's most anti-EU business 🤣

Dear @virginmedia it’s really dumb to offer existing customers a package that costs £56/month, when the same package for new customers is available on your website for £29, and the competition is selling an equivalent package of £26.
We’ve been with you 18 years. Toodle-pip!

HANSONS INTRODUCING | We are pleased to announce Hansons Auctioneers has welcome Derby County historian and lifetime collector Andy Ellis to the team as its new part-time-in-house sporting specialist.
Since attending his first Derby County match in March 1969, Andy has been an avid Derby County supporter and unearthed a lifelong passion for the club, its history and connected memorabilia.
What started with collecting football programmes, his collection grew to include tickets, team sheets, shirts, ties, cigarette cards and a vast range of football-related collectibles. After he began writing for the Derby County matchday programme in 2001, Andy then published his first book, ‘Relics of the Ram’ in 2005 and went on to help establish The Derby County Collection charitable trust to preserve and document DCFC memorabilia.
Andy is now well known as Derby County’s historian, advising on memorabilia, providing heritage support and helping with displays and media projects.
Bringing his wealth of local football knowledge to Hansons, we are excited to see how Andy will bring his expertise in researching, collecting and preserving football history to Hansons world football and sporting department.

One stone block every 4½ minutes. Day and night. For 20 years is BS
the Great Pyramid contains an estimated 2.3 million blocks and they say it took 20 years to build.
Break it down:
▪️ 115,000 blocks per year.
▪️ Around 315 blocks every single day.
▪️ Working 24-hour days? That’s roughly one block placed every 4 minutes or so.
And every block needed quarrying, shaping, transporting and positioning, with the challenge changing as the pyramid grew taller.

🚨 Arsene Wenger on reports Manchester City could face a 100-point deduction:
🗣️ Arsene Wenger: “One hundred points is not enough. It does not even begin to cover the damage they have done. For years they have spent money that other clubs could not match, signed players that other clubs could not compete for, and won titles that other clubs had no realistic chance of challenging. And now we are supposed to believe a points deduction is the full price of that.
“The Premier League has been distorted. The table has been distorted. The transfer market has been distorted. Clubs that tried to play by the rules have been left behind while one club operated on a different financial planet. A hundred points does not give those clubs their seasons back. It does not give them the players they lost in the market. It does not give them the titles that were decided before a ball was kicked.
“They should be relegated. They should be banned from Europe for longer than five years. The ownership should be forced to sell. And every title won during the period under investigation should be stripped. Anything less is an insult to every club that has been competing against an unfair advantage.
“I have said for years that financial rules only matter if they are enforced properly. If the evidence is as serious as these reports suggest, then one hundred points is the minimum, not the maximum. The damage they have caused to the competition is bigger than any single punishment that has been discussed. The league needs to show it is willing to protect itself. Right now, even a hundred points looks like a compromise.”

Arsene Wenger did not say this. The quote is fabricated; no credible sources record these statements and his actual comments differ.

On a brighter note, been down the ground today to take some shirts and help set up the display to acknowledge the great achievements of our team of 1985/87, double promotion under Arthur Cox.
They are coming along on Saturday to take a bow for what they did for our club.
This is my era and my team of heroes, such great days at the Baseball Ground and every away game, up the football league we went 3-2-1 back to the top.
You just knew before every game it was going to be entertaining and we would win, every pub would be packed pre match.
They were the best of days so let’s give them a good cheer and show we still remember our legends and what they achieved.
