Worth every penny
He is the right guy.
But it would require;
- £20-30m compensation
- giving him complete control
- letting him bring in his own staff, sporting director and recruitment guru
- letting him completely rebuild the squad how he wants
- giving him time to build success and not sacking him after a year or two.
All of which United would be unlikely to do.
deserved it. One of the greatest PGs ever

🚨 BREAKING: Barcelona have been informed that no World Cup winner finished in the top two of the Ballon d’Or rankings.

Antonio Conte has told Manchester United he wants the head coach job, but there is a feeling within Old Trafford that his personality may be too FIERY and he could ask for a salary well over £10m, which would be prohibitive. #MUFC [@hirstclass]

🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Ashley Young believes Antonio Conte would be a DISASTER at Manchester United! 😳
🗣️ "If they're not going to run and Antonio Conte goes in there, it's going to be a disaster, I think."
🗣️ "You're gonna run a lot, you'll be fitter than you've ever been."
🗣️ "The training sessions were a lot of 11 v 11, at times a little bit boring."
🗣️ "Meetings were long. When I say long, I'm talking, if we lost the game, we could go in and do the meeting after the game and it'd stop literally everything."
🗣️ "And you could be in there for three, four hours."
🗣️ "He tries to test mentally – but the board as well, and the owners, and I think that people get annoyed with him."
There should only be 1 winner. Anything other than him is fixed
