Another post on the Fairlane monorail. In its heyday, the train stopped here to drop off customers in the center of the mall. #Rail #Train #Monorail

I shall call this ‘Guinness and pink flamingo’. Was walking to the supermarket for food just now, when a pub grabbed me off the street and gave me a pint. The pink flamingo is of course, from Audubon’s book of birds, which is full of the most stunning paintings. Cheers 🍻

These carved stones are kept inside St Mary's Church in Acton, Cheshire 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Dating from around 1080–1100, they are over 900 years old and feature Christian figures, birds and intricate interlaced patterns. Some were discovered during restoration work in the 1890s, having been built into the church walls centuries earlier 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

It’s Boston Cream Pie Day! Invented in Boston in the 1800s, this irresistible treat is the official dessert of Massachusetts. The slice in this photo is from @BovasBakery, our North End neighbor.

I’ve realised that the paintings hanging on the walls of my imaginary rooms are usually paintings I’d quite like to own. Which raises the question of why I haven’t painted them properly yet. “Fruit Bowl in Morning Light”, 35X45cm. #artisticloophole
