We’ve seen NFT projects build communities around their art, but what about building the art around the community? That’s an interesting approach I came across while researching @IThinkItsArt (I Think It’s Art). An NFT project putting creativity, identity, and human connections at the centre of what it’s building. Here’s what I found👇 First off, what exactly is ITIA? ITIA stands for I Think It’s Art, an NFT project built around the idea of bringing people together through creativity and artistic expression. The concept goes beyond simply owning an NFT. It’s about giving people something they can identify with while building real connections along the way. What caught my attention was the way ITIA approaches its artwork. Rather than treating art as just another digital collectible, the project wants each piece to carry meaning and represent a story. And honestly, that makes sense. Art is subjective. What looks ordinary to one person could mean everything to someone else. That’s part of what makes it interesting. Now, let’s talk about the ITIA Family collection. This is an exclusive collection of handcrafted PFPs created for the founders, close community members, and people who have contributed meaningfully to the project. Each PFP is individually designed to reflect the person’s identity, story, and preferences. According to ITIA’s official gallery, these custom Family PFPs have been minted on Ethereum. It’s important to note that this is different from the upcoming Genesis collection. Another interesting part is the community itself. ITIA has created a space where members can share their artwork and creativity, with selected pieces showcased on the project’s website. So the community isn’t just there to watch the project grow. They’re also contributing to its identity. I think that’s a pretty interesting approach to community building. There’s also something worth mentioning about ownership. Under ITIA’s art license, eligible NFT holders can use their artwork commercially to create and sell merchandise, products, and content. This comes with a limit of $50,000 in annual gross revenue across all NFTs owned by a holder, with certain restrictions applying. Anything beyond that limit requires prior written approval from ITIA. So holders have opportunities to build around their artwork, although they don’t own the underlying copyright. So what’s next for ITIA? With its initial Family building phase and custom Family PFPs already introduced, the project is now looking toward its next major milestone. The ITIA Genesis collection. Unlike the exclusive Family collection, Genesis is the project’s upcoming main NFT collection. There’s currently no confirmed public mint date, supply, or price on the official website. It’ll be interesting to see what the team has planned as the launch gets closer. Personally, I think ITIA is an interesting project to follow, especially if you’re someone who appreciates art and the community side of NFTs.
