I went viral on LinkedIn on my birthday & this is the most random thing I’ve seen 😆
Here’s what happened.
My post absolutely POPPED OFF yesterday.
Yet, it provided NO value whatsoever.
I said “it’s my birthday” - basically an empty calorie post for a platform like LinkedIn that claims to be so obsessed with VaLuE.
The post got 670 likes, 399 comments, and it’s still going.
Normally, to get this type of engagement I’m either posting a job from Superteam Talent or a career/ life update.
The reason why I find this so funny/ strange is that:
- some 40% of this engagement came from people that know me online or IRL
- but 60% came from absolute random strangers, including a medical director and a pastor…
And I’ve got 200ish new people adding me:
- a warehouse manager in Florida
- an electrical inspector
- “a real estate broker with long experience in tourism and hospitality”
These are people not even remotely related to what I do.
So what’s the lesson here?
People are bored af (lol jk, but this too)
1) if you build a brand long enough (meaning posting 3-5X week, telling stories to entertain, writing easily digestible advice, sharing life and career milestones) - then even an empty calorie post can get crazy engagement.
That’s because people, with time, start to like YOU, the person behind the brand.
2) platforms loooove engagement - if the algo picks up motion, it will push; you just sit back and continue engaging.
Try and see what happens.
The formula is this - [selfie + a super basic update] and tell me what happens.
Just wrapped a podcast episode with @TThompson
> He shared why he joined crypto (*extremely* relatable btw)
> His best advice for hungry entrepreneurs
> What he’s working on now (will surprise you)
> And his boldest prediction (I pray it comes true)

60-second distribution lesson:
1) If you want to market anything - a product, a service, your content - you have to master distribution.
Distribution = getting people to see your stuff.
2) For this, you have to understand the most fundamental marketing lesson which is the Stages of Awareness by Eugene Schwartz.
Imagine a funnel with 3 parts: top, middle, bottom.
TOF = top of funnel (this is where your audience is unaware, they don’t know they need/ don’t yet want what you offer)
MOF = middle of funnel (problem aware - audience knows it has a problem to solve + solution aware - they know your solution exists but aren’t using it yet)
BOF = bottom of funnel (product aware - audience knows your product exists; most aware - they’re thinking of buying/ using/ subscribing/ consuming what you have but aren’t convinced yet)
Your job as a marketer/ creator is to move them from the top to the bottom.
With that in mind, go read @ryangrowthh’s article below.
The trick to distribution is understanding your audience and using content to actively move them from TOF to BOF.

Our internal WalletConnect Agent now has feedback report tool in its codemode namespace.
Pretty much every time it runs into an issue or spots an inefficiency, it uses its own the tool to record feedback. Then we have a weekly workflow that triages and actions it.
