7) Destroy all devices you own that use electricity 8) Move to the woods and become a hermit, abandon society entirely
Lots of Security incidents today, here's some practical tips for those who just wanna protect yourself: 1) UPDATE EVERYTHING - main targets are: a) Browsers - Chrome, Safari, Firefox b) OS: : Settings -> General -> software update; Linux: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade; Windows: I think there's a button. Do this for any remote home servers & Openclaw/hermes boxes c) Phones: Update it all d) Desktop apps (Slack, Cursor, Discord, etc) 2) Limit web browsing this week: Stay within walled gardens (twitter, youtube, etc); don't click random links this week. Just wait until the patches go through. Do step 1 again after a week. 3) Avoid untrusted Wifi networks until your devices are updated 4) Stay vigilant about phishing emails offering "certificate fixes" or fraud updates 5) Have an iPhone 11-16? TURN BLUETOOTH OFF for the time being until apple patches come through. 6) Code/Dev: UPDATE ALL YOUR REPOS - @charliermarsh has already updated uv 0.13.4 which reacts to the eMudra incident for uv (Python), Typesript according to Claude has equivelant. Tell your agents to go and update all your active repos to update package manager across uv, npm, bun, cargo, etc etc What advice did I miss?

FluxRPC successfully migrated to Alpenglow the moment it went live on mainnet. Faster finality means less waiting for transactions to settle, whether you’re building payment apps, trading tools or games. Huge credit to @anza_xyz and everyone who brought Alpenglow to @solana mainnet.
Alpenglow is live on mainnet-beta ⛰️ 🎉 Solana’s new consensus protocol: finality reduced from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds, built by Anza. Why this is important 🧵

Alpenglow is now live on Solana mainnet. ⛰️ Finality just went from ~12.8 seconds to ~150ms. The biggest consensus upgrade in Solana’s history, built by @anza_xyz.

Love what we’re getting done with @FluxRPC. 11.2ms average latency in this 5-minute snapshot. That’s 75–85% lower than the incumbents. Solana mainnet streaming is included in the $38/month Developer plan, and Lantern’s local caching reduces repeated data transfers to bring the bill down further and we don't sell orderflow.

Using one of the big Solana RPC providers? Take a look at @FluxRPC’s latency in this comparison. There’s a reason to consider it for failover too. FluxRPC’s read layer runs separately from validator execution, giving you a backup with a different architecture alongside validator-based providers. Mainnet streaming is included in the $38 Developer plan. Try it with your own workload and see how it compares: fluxrpc.com

Let’s talk about the Chris Maragos case… aka the one where a Philly jury hit Eagles doctors with a $43.5 million verdict for negligently ending a Super Bowl captain’s career. Maragos tore his PCL (with meniscus issues) in a 2017 game vs. the Panthers. Dr. James Bradley (longtime Steelers doc) did the surgery; Rothman Orthopaedics (Eagles team docs) handled rehab. Plaintiffs argued the meniscus wasn’t properly addressed and rehab was advanced too aggressively (including running) despite a 2018 MRI showing persistent problems. That caused further damage and forced retirement in 2019. Defense said the meniscus was stable and more surgery would have done more harm than good. After a two-week trial (Nick Foles, Trey Burton, and Jordan Hicks testified), the jury found negligence in under three hours. Liability: Bradley 67% ($29.2M), Rothman 33% ($14.3M). An economist put lost earnings at ~$8.7M as the floor; the rest reflected pain, limitations, and future care. The verdict was upheld on appeal in 2024. Maragos’ lawyer put it bluntly: it forces team doctors to stop focusing only on “when can he return to play” and start thinking about the next 50 years of a player’s life.
Fun fact, players have sued team doctors for negligent return-to-play decisions (ex-Eagles captain Chris Maragos won $43.5M over his knee care). As a very disappointed Eagles fan, I’m enraged. Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am, told not to sleep because of the clot risk, then cleared to play in London. Now it’s DVT + bilateral pulmonary emboli and he’s out for the season on blood thinners. Granted I’m no doctor, but I wouldn’t be surprised if his career is over because of this. There are some serious questions around that initial medical call that need to be looked at. Health first for Jalen.

The NFL and the Philadelphia Eagles almost killed Jalen Hurts for a Week 5 international showcase. The full details of what happened behind closed doors in London just surfaced, and the negligence is staggering. Before kickoff in London, Hurts was in a hospital bed until 4:00 AM undergoing emergency vascular testing. Medical staff instructed him not to sleep because sleep was considered an active health risk. Instead of shutting down their $255 million franchise quarterback, the team cleared him to play 60 minutes of brutal, high-impact collision football on zero sleep. Then, they loaded him onto a pressurized, 8-hour transatlantic flight back to Philadelphia. Every doctor on the planet knows that long-haul flights and cabin pressure are the exact triggers that cause lower-extremity blood clots to break free. The Eagles spent days assuring the public it was just a "minor, superficial calf clot". Now the truth comes out: the clot dislodged, shot through his bloodstream, and caused multiple pulmonary emboli in his lungs. Hurts is officially out for the season, placed on blood thinners where taking a single routine tackle could cause a fatal internal hemorrhage. He isn't just lucky to play football again, he is lucky to be alive. When the NFL preaches "player safety," remember this moment. They ran a human being into the ground for television ratings in the UK, almost lost him to a preventable medical catastrophe, and cratered their entire season in the process. Who inside that building signed off on letting him play and board that flight?

In 2021 a handful of us had already built Solflare and Solana Beach, and we took second place at Solana’s global hackathon, out of more than 3,000 people. The next morning my LinkedIn was full of strangers who wanted to invest. I had no idea what to do with that. So I called Filip. We’d worked on things together before, and he was deep in an idea of his own. He looked at what we had, parked his idea, and came to build this one with me. A lot of what Solflare is today has his fingerprints on it: the brand, how we show up for the community, and how we kept going through the FTX winter when plenty of people told us to stop. Now he’s going back to the idea he parked, outside crypto. The most Filip thing he could do. The team who run Solflare day to day have been building it with us for years. The mission is the one we picked back then: one place to trade anything, anytime, built from Belgrade and Zagreb instead of London or New York. Thank you, Filip. Go build it. March 2022, our first ever team building, Dominican Republic, right after we climbed out of the mud buggies. He’s the one smiling.
A personal update: I've decided to leave Solflare. I will forever be grateful to everyone who has been with me on this journey for the past five years. I'm extremely proud of what we've built together - and how much fun it actually was. Anyone who's been here since 2021 knows that calling this journey a "rollercoaster" would be an understatement. We've lived through enough for every streaming service to have its own documentary: from the crazy NFT days and decentralized "everything" to the fall of FTX, memecoins, presidents and, ultimately, trading everything. There were a lot of hard times along the way. But as hard as they were, they shaped Solflare as a company, and they shaped me. Surviving the aftermath of FTX is something that will forever stick with me. We had to decide which direction to take Solflare. We talked for days and decided to commit fully to Solana - even if it meant the end of Solflare. The whole ecosystem rallied and held strong. Seeing Solana come back the way it did, and our conviction being rewarded, is something I'll never forget. The company that was fighting for survival back then now has millions of users managing more than $15B in Solana-based assets, and it's becoming the one place where you can trade anything, anytime. And there were some pretty insane moments in between. I'm quite confident there's no other industry where you can come up with an idea for a drone show displaying a QR code that airdrops $250k to attendees - and find partners willing to join through a Telegram message. But most of my memories aren't from the big moments. They're from working with the people at Solflare every day. None of this would have been possible without them. We started as a small team of 6–7 degens and grew into a company of over 150 professionals (and degens). Through all that growth, we kept the small-team vibe and closeness. They're brilliant at what they do, and they're also just great people. Anyone who's met the team at a Solana conference has seen that for themselves. How we show up for the community is something I'm especially proud of. And it means a lot that so many Solana OGs choose Solflare as their wallet. That trust took years to earn. For me, it's time to put my energy into a different challenge and pursue an idea outside of crypto I've had for a long time, starting in my home market of Croatia. My co-founder @vidor_solflare continues to lead Solflare, now as sole CEO. He's always had my full trust, and knowing what he and this team are capable of, I'm excited to see what they build next. Thank you to everyone who trusted me, built with me. @solflare has changed my life, and I will forever be "Team Solflare". GM

#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days. Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.
