U.S. President Donald Trump on Iran: "Now we will make a decision. Do we want to go further and certify it so that it will never happen again? I would rather not destroy the rest of the country if possible, but maybe I will have to. You will know soon enough."

Pedro Sánchez, Spain's Prime Minister, on Latin America, Europe and the push toward isolation: "Spain will always be there to open Europe's doors to you, together with our Portuguese brothers." "Today I want to invite our friends, brothers and sisters in Latin America and the Caribbean to follow the example of Canada and tighten their ties with Europe, so that both regions build a stronger, more ambitious alliance with greater weight in the world." "Too many countries seem to have reached the same unfortunate conclusion: that to protect yourself you have to close up, close borders, raise barriers, reduce cooperation and see the rest of the world as a threat rather than an opportunity." "I believe we must do exactly the opposite. Against those who close themselves off, we must open up. Against those who build walls, we must build alliances. And against those who fuel war, we must be sowers of peace." "We don't want a world of countries that are increasingly alone. We want a world of countries that are increasingly united."

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry strongly denies a Wall Street Journal report on a Houthi price tag for peace. According to the WSJ, Riyadh reached out to the Houthis in Yemen to find out what it would cost for them to stop fighting Saudi Arabia. The Houthi answer was $51 billion.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Yemen's Houthis are seeking official recognition as the country's rulers and $51 billion from Saudi Arabia as conditions for halting hostilities. The group frames the money as compensation for years of Saudi airstrikes and a blockade. Riyadh is concerned that meeting the terms could invite more attacks and further financial demands. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is hesitant to enter talks without first achieving military gains, though he is also wary that sending more ground troops could cause heavy casualties and a backlash at home.

Ukrainian President Zelensky on Elon Musk: "Having so much power concentrated in the hands of a very rich person is dangerous. Concentrating power in the hands of one person who doesn't have much money is also dangerous. That is the whole point of the separation of powers: making sure that everything is not concentrated in the hands of one person."

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on the 2026 midterms: "2026 was not simply a blue wave. It was a blue tsunami. It was an ass-kicking. It was not simply a bad 2006 midterm election. It was a Watergate-level repudiation. Sometimes history is to be celebrated. Other times, it is to be mourned."
Sen. Ted Cruz on his podcast, after warning for weeks that Texas could flip: "For weeks, I had been publicly warning on this podcast that we were in very real danger of losing everything in Texas. Far too few believed that was possible. I am very, very sorry that it came to pass. Texas has not had a Democrat governor since 1994. We haven't had a Democrat senator since 1993. Now, we'll have both."

Kemi Badenoch’s strange boast that she lets Andy Burnham off all the time at PMQs 🤔 On LBC this week, Kemi Badenoch was asked about an earlier interview with Nick Ferrari in which she struggled to explain the practical details of her party’s defence plans. Iain Dale put it to her that “if Andy Burnham had given that answer in PMQs you wouldn’t have let him off would you?” She replied, almost gleefully: “I let Andy Burnham off all the time.” Ian, clearly taken aback, asked: “Why? Why would you let him off?” Badenoch’s explanation was that there simply isn’t enough time to chase every weak point in his answers, that “if you do too much it doesn’t work,” and that she therefore lets him off “all the time.” She even suggested the Prime Minister should be saying “thank you Kemi, you’re too kind.” This is an odd thing for the Leader of the Opposition to boast about. PMQs is the main weekly opportunity to scrutinise the government, expose contradictions and force the Prime Minister to defend his record. Admitting you regularly choose not to press him, and that he should be grateful for it, undercuts the whole point of the role. It also feeds the suspicion many already have, that too much of Westminster treats politics as a cosy arrangement rather than a contest of ideas. When the person whose job is to hold the Labour government to account is openly bragging about letting the Prime Minister off, it starts to look less like opposition and more like one big uni party.

Antifa seem to think they are above the law And in Britain, at the moment, they are
Shockingly in Two Tier Britain, no arrests have been made following the attack on us by Antifa at Cambridge University. It's absolutely shocking that Cambridge is experiencing far-left violence and demographic replacement.

🚨 WOW: Ron DeSantis just gave Senate Republicans the only advice that matters before January 3rd. "I would roll in cots to the U.S. Senate cloak room." More than 20 of Trump's judicial nominees are still pending. Four are appeals court picks. Republicans have confirmed 56 judges since Trump came back. Democrats take the Senate on January 3rd, and Sheldon Whitehouse takes the Judiciary Committee. After that, a conservative judge does not get confirmed. Not one. Grassley already scheduled back to back hearings for November 10th to cram them through. They have eight weeks. Then the door shuts for the rest of the term. Roll in the cots or hand the courts back to the other side.
