MY SENIOR CITIZEN FATHER BECAME VICTIM OF A CYBER FRAUD WHILE BOOKING APPOINTMENT FOR A DOCTOR ONLINE & HAD ONE OF HIS BANK ACCOUNT EMPTIED (Not a huge amount but decent amount)
PLEASE BE AWARE & ALERT YOUR ELDERLY PARENTS. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED :
My father wanted to book doctor's appointment for my mother's eyes. This was 5th October morning.
He looked up number of the hospital online. Hackers had created a similar looking website.
When he dialled that number, they asked him to download an app for doctors appointment and make the payment directly over there. When papa said he's unable to download they asked him to download through WhatsApp. He did.
THAT'S IT. THEY HAD ALL ACCESS TO HIS PHONE.
Thankfully my mom after realising that he's spending unusually longer time to book an appointment, immediately alerted me and I took over his phone.
His phone started buzzing non stop with sms with OTPs and what not. I couldn't understand what happened. I immediately blocked those numbers and uninstalled every app on papa's phone. Then we got all his accounts frozen.
Nothing happened thereafter. We thought the problem had been taken care of.
After few days he got his accounts accessible again and today he realized one of his bank account was emptied by the scammers on 13th October. Early morning transactions. He got no message whatsoever. Neither of debit. Nor of OTP. Nothing. No alert. All money gone.
I have now reset his phone.
Filing complaint on cybergov through web or through call has turned futile.
We filed a complaint with the bank. Have got to know that the account holder is in Jaipur. @jaipur_police
Tomorrow we will lodge a complaint in the local police station but I know nothing will happen. Please let me know if you could actually do something @gurgaonpolice
We have no clue how this amount got deducted after so many days that too when my father had already got the account frozen before @mahabank @OfficialBOMOO my father got no message no alert no nothing at all ! How could OTPs or anything be accessible after so many days ???

India needs serious political reforms. Imagine a system where:
1. A Prime Minister can serve a maximum of 2 terms.
2. A postgraduate degree is mandatory to become Prime Minister.
3. MPs and MLAs must hold at least a graduation degree.
4. Weekly field visits by elected representatives to inspect development in their constituencies.
5. Monthly public meetings where citizens can directly question their representatives.
6. Annual performance reports for every MP and MLA based on development work.
7. Strict deadlines for resolving public complaints.
8. Complete transparency in the use of public funds.
9. No special treatment for politicians. The same laws should apply to everyone.
10. Mandatory disclosure of assets and sources of income.
11. No lifetime benefits for politicians who fail to fulfil their responsibilities.
12. Political parties must conduct internal elections to promote capable leaders.
13. Strict action against corruption, regardless of party affiliation.
14. Every elected representative must submit a report on jobs, roads, schools, hospitals and infrastructure development in their area.
15. Any politician facing a criminal case involving serious offences should face suspension from public office once charges are formally framed by a court, subject to a fair legal process. Conviction should lead to disqualification under strict rules, with safeguards against politically motivated cases.
Politics should be about public service, not personal privilege.
We need leaders who are accountable to the people, transparent in their actions and judged by their work.

I asked him, “Why are you protesting over an unnecessary issue like cheating?”
He replied, “Look bro, initially, we didn’t want any protest. But then the IIT Bombay Humanities ‘Dafli gang’ came in and started influencing students, saying, ‘We have to protest.’ They said cheating isn’t a big deal and then played the casteism card. That’s how the protest started.”
The reality is that their motive is to remove Director Prof. Shireesh Kedare because they don’t like him. And getting Prof. Suryanarayana to resign was just the start. I don’t think they will stop until the Director resigns.”🙏

Aditya dhar is proud of the GC students who settled abroad and didn't study here. Actually professor Suryanarayana has been a honest teacher for years. He caught Rohit Vemula cheating with mobile phone during exam. He took action against him.
The student committed suicide and now his family has invoked SC/ST act on the professor and he has been forced to resign. How dare he do the right thing. Reservation isn't enough for these people anymore. Separate colleges for GC is need of the hour 🙏

A student at IIT Bombay dies by suicide.
Outrage against the IIT admin.
IIT clarifies that the student was caught using ChatGPT for answers during an exam, was counselled. He went to hostel and died by suicide.
Student's father suddenly realised that since last many months, his son was subjected to caste based abuses by Prof Doolla, the faculty who caught him cheating, and this caste based harassment was "under the directions of IIT director".
Politically suitable scenario, caste groups jump in. Dalit Politicians jump in, including those in power and speak against the professor.
The eminent and illustrious professor, with an impeccable career, is now subjected to a media trial, receives threats, faces calls to be hanged, and is booked under the SC/ST Atrocities Act.
The IIT director resign/forced to resign.
The Ministry of Education, under which IIT operates, does not utter a single word in support of the Prof Doolla who is being hounded simply for doing his job as per the laid down procedure.
On the contrary, IIT Bombay today apologized for its tweet about the cheating incident, stating that the cause of death remains under investigation.
Next, in all likelihood Professor Doolla will be sacrificed to calm the caste groups.
This country is beyond repair.

The IIT Bombay professor should seriously consider taking legal action against the parents and the institution if false or baseless cases were filed against him. Enough is enough, weaponizing legal provisions against someone without evidence must have consequences.
