💸 Adding a subscription button is easy. Managing everything after the payment? That’s where things get complicated.
At Shipaton Seoul × @RevenueCat × @dev_korea, @github_skydoves, Senior Developer Advocate at RevenueCat, shared why building a reliable subscription business involves much more than processing payments.
In this talk, you’ll learn:
- Why revenue tracking across Apple, Google, and Stripe is harder than it looks
- How hard vs. soft paywalls affect conversion and retention
- Why subscription edge cases and billing failures can quietly cost you revenue
- How remote paywalls and A/B testing help optimize subscriptions without constantly shipping app updates
- Why security, receipt validation, and changing store policies matter
Whether you’re building your first subscription app or already managing thousands of paying users, there’s plenty to take away from this session.

Your AI coding agent doesn't need the most expensive model for every task. And what happens when an AI agent crashes mid-workflow?🤔
At @Alibaba_Qwen Meetup Seoul #4, 130 developers explored AI coding costs and agent reliability.

How do developers use AI without losing the skills needed to review its work?
Watch the session, and follow us for more talks from Korea’s international developer community.
AI writes code. Developers still own the decisions.
K. Choi explores AI’s origins, the limits of coding agents, and how developers can keep their engineering skills sharp.

That's a wrap on our second AI Salon x @dev_korea 🤖💻
Yesterday, we brought developers, founders, and fellow builders together at SVC Seoul for an evening of practical AI workflows and conversations.
@ohgosu walked us through how he uses AI for creative research and production, connecting audience research with the screenshots, ads, content, and onboarding experiences people actually see.
@chrisdeweese_ shared how he orchestrates AI agents to build apps and handle tasks across coding, operations, and computer use, including where these workflows can go wrong.
What I really like about evenings like this is getting to hear how people use these tools in their day-to-day work. The workflows. The decisions. The things they've figured out along the way. And then having the chance to ask questions and exchange ideas in the same room.
Thank you to SVC Seoul for hosting us, our speakers for sharing their work, everyone for helping make this event happen. ❤️
Looking forward to more evenings like this.

How do you get AI agents to take a task from start to finish?
Today at AI SALON x @dev_korea #2, our second speaker, @chrisdeweese_, will share his approach in “Orchestrating AI Agent Workflows to Build Your Apps.”
Chris is an engineer and founder based in Seoul with over 10 years of experience. He has shipped 200+ mobile apps with 150M+ cumulative downloads. He’s now building Pilot Computer, an aviation software product, and runs a personal agent stack across Grok Bot, Cursor, and a headless Mac.
He’ll break down his exact agent workflows, covering:
- Task intake through end-to-end execution
- Coding and operations
- Computer use on a Mac
- Common failure modes and where things go wrong

That's a wrap on the OpenSource AI Mixer with @dev_korea 🇰🇷🇨🇳💻
An evening bringing developers and AI builders together in Seoul to exchange ideas and connect across communities.
Ming AI, joined by @_KleinHe_, @Lawted2, and An Lu, introduced @TheArchGlobal and shared a closer look at China's tech ecosystem.
@ceciliaz030, founder of @aomi_labs, took us into agentic finance, exploring how AI agents can move from a user's intent to executing onchain transactions.
What I really like about events like this is the chance to meet the people behind what we're reading about online. To hear what they're building, ask questions, and exchange perspectives in the same room. That’s a big part of why we keep bringing people together through Dev Korea. ❤️
Thank you to dcamp for hosting us, to our speakers for sharing their work, and everyone who helped make this event happen.
