Matthew Devlin

I'm signing off from social media for a few weeks, as I head into hospital for a long awaited operation on my back. Apologies if I miss any messages but I will pick up when I return. Hopefully in less pain, more flexible and a little bit closer to playing football again

Great morning today doing a joint @researchIP and @SocialWorkEng session for @boltoncouncil. As the self proclaimed “best double act in the North West” @Lou_B_Lou123 and I always enjoy working together #cpd

All about CPD for me today, speaking about CPD this morning to @StockportMBC social workers, thanks to @Lisa_SW77. Then doing some CPD this afternoon thanks to an event held by @SarahPollock123 on social work with interpreters #SWINT. Lots to reflect on and lots to learn.

Nice to see @rioferdy5 recognising the skill and value that social workers can offer to many roles, even the @ManUtd managers job. That's me off down to Manchester with a bag of balls and a whistle #pickme

Happy #WorldSocialWorkDay2022 I'm incredibly proud to be part of such an amazing profession. I hope social workers can take the time today to reflect and recognise the incredible work they do everyday....also eat some cake.

@FlipGeddes @AgereLeonard @SocialWorkEng

A torn hamstring before Christmas has meant a delayed and painful start to 2022. Great to be back today and presenting to the social work degree apprenticeship group at @LJMU. It’s now time to stretch and start the email catch up 👍

Huge thanks to @JanePye for inviting me to speak to the @SWLancs BA group today. I spent a lot of time at the uni in a previous role so it was great to return. I was also very excited about returning to one of my old favourite lunch spots #burritoTuesday

2 days in Sheffield well spent; I wore a shirt and tie again, had tea from my favourite kebab shop and rediscovered the energy you can get from being in an office with colleagues. Still pleased to be back home and in my shorts 😂
