Uniport Life update 🚀
Thank you for all the messages since launch. Here is what we fixed and added today:
📱 Much smoother on phones
The game now runs up to 4x faster on slower phones, with far less lag and stutter. If your phone struggles, the game adjusts itself so it stays smooth.
🔄 Landscape mode
Tap the sideways phone button on the right to play in landscape and see more of the campus. On iPhone, just turn your phone sideways (switch off Rotation Lock if it does not turn).
🍏 Older iPhones fixed
If you saw “The campus did not load”, it should work now. Reload the page.
🚌 Cheaper shuttles
Motor park to AP is now ₦150, and the gate shuttle into school is ₦150.
📢 Billboards
Businesses that book a billboard can now choose their own button text, like “Order now” or “Chat on WhatsApp”, and pick whether their picture fills the board or fits inside it.

I’ve spent the last week turning my entire campus into a real-world simulation, complete with shuttle queues, mission systems, and random encounters with cult boys if you wear the wrong colors.

It’s been about a week of intense hacking on uniport life 🤩
Burnt some money renting pods for my pipeline to render the school environment correctly, run servers etc.
The tech stack is pretty solid Python and Typescript and the entire game is built around the concept of tool calling, fat props to @OpenAI for releasing those primitives, huge unlock for me but more about the tech decisions later.
Really proud of how it’s coming together

Most are miles from home and spend their first month completely lost.
I lived that struggle in 2023 when i got admitted, and i got tired of hearing new students complain about it
