Linux on the M6 Mac Mini, Day 5 - success! Omarchy is installed on the Mac Mini's hard drive. It boots, it runs. Still bringing up accessories, including Ethernet and GPU, so my work's not done, but 5 days from the macOS About screen to the Omarchy About screen isn't bad!

@dhh I told my Grok bot this morning that I was going to install Omarchy on my M1 MBP and give it to it as a gift with its own Claude and Codex max plans to run its engineering work. Bot told me that it preferred if I left macOS on the machine. I beg to differ but not sure how to best make the argument. How would you respond?

It's very cool that people are reverse engineering proprietary hardware... But I hope customers don't buy products from manufacturers that refuse to provide open source drivers or at least detailed specifications for their hardware. Give your money to people who support Linux.

5 days from the macOS about screen to omarchy booting off the drive is a fast port. once ethernet and gpu come up, that's a serious little dev box.
