🗣Souness: "Its cruel on #ManCity. This is because of FFP, set up by the big clubs to protect big clubs. They've said, 'We are the big guys, we generate the most, let's set up a rule that prevents City buying the best players and we're not the big boys anymore.' Its jealousy" 👏

Analysis: City tried to make it about football, but the press won't let them, because the press wants some kind of impossible contortion, where the team plays but lies down and the fans self-flagellate and prostrate themselves in public.

🚨🚨🎙️| Unai Emery reacts to the financial fraud accusations targeting Manchester City: “Many clubs inflate their budget. It’s known to everyone. Because to build a squad, you have to deal with the restrictions related to financial fair play. “You also have to balance the finances between departures and arrivals. Now, it’s up to the tribunals to sort it out. “What affects me is that people are talking about a team that played exceptionally well with Pep Guardiola…”

💡Paul Scholes has just asked the question United fans don’t want to answer. 👀 How can City be condemned for building a football club AND investing heavily around Manchester, while the Glazers have extracted money from United and left the club carrying enormous debt? If spending and financial sustainability are supposedly about protecting English football, then why is debt not treated with the same outrage when it sits on the other side of Manchester? United fans can’t celebrate City’s punishment while pretending their own club’s financial model is beyond scrutiny. Scholes isn’t defending City. He’s exposing the hypocrisy of the debate. If the rules are about protecting football, they have to apply consistently not selectively.

"The Premier League rules are always gonna keep the biggest clubs at the top" “If you can keep investing in any other business until it succeeds, why should football be different?” The Premier League rules are UNFAIR!
