Having changed the programme in the House of Commons to avoid Parliamentary scrutiny, the Government has once again blocked Parliamentary scrutiny in the House of Lords with the support of the Liberal Democrats.
Only the Conservatives are standing up for Parliament's right to hold the Government to account.

Very sad news. David was a huge racing fan, advocate for the sport & a good friend. Despite our different political backgrounds, I really enjoyed working with him on the Lords Digital committee and talking about racing whenever we could. He will be much missed by many.
