Están contentos porque no se dio el escenario imaginario que creen que queremos sino el escenario imaginario que creen que no queremos. Otra victoria imaginaria del progresismo.

Socialism is the belief that Amazon workers would have spontaneously created Amazon if Jeff Bezos didn't exist.
“While the act of creation is inherently satisfying, there’s a danger: one might find satisfaction in the labor itself and mistakenly believe that a high-quality piece of work has been created,” he said.
very insightful comment from miyamoto
Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, the acclaimed designer behind Super Mario and Zelda, has explained why he believes generative AI won’t make human creativity obsolete.
"There will always be a role left for us to play."

Cuando uno hace estas premisas por lo general uno “juega” con la idea. Si te dan un deseo pedis un millón de dólares, no “paz mundial”. Las respuestas a este tuit manejan un nivel de psiquiatría o nunca visto

Rape isn’t awkward, unwanted, unenthusiastic touch, it’s a violent crime. Hugging someone if you don’t feel like it doesn’t make you more/less likely to be raped.
But I hate how transactional this line of thinking is. “Nobody owes you” is a weird thing to say within a family.

The affection is not ordinary if consent is not given. Children do no owe grandparents physical affection.
Es la primera vez que leo esta definición y es demasiado precisa

I've heard woke described as "the tyranny of the most easily offended person in the room" and this kind of "social worker woke" often seems from viewing all potential situations from the POV of the most neurotic & troubled people.

Families are best placed to understand their own children.
Parents & grandparents are not imbeciles who require state-funded campaigns to teach them how to greet their grandchildren.
This approach infantilises adults and removes agency from teenagers by turning ordinary familial affection into a formal “consent” lesson that outsiders must mediate.
Real safeguarding addresses actual risks; it does not pathologise normal bonds between children and the people who love them.
Irish parents have constitutional recognition as the primary educators of their children. The State should respect that boundary rather than micromanage private family relationships.

Speaking as someone who is socially awkward myself, if you see the mundane interaction of hugging your grandparents as a violation of consent, you are fucked in the head, most likely evil, and I feel no sympathy towards you.
Like, gIve me a fucking break.

A lot of you replied to my last post, so here are a few thoughts.
The majority of people on a team the size of Veilguard’s had little or no say in the things you disliked about it. Right up to the end, BioWare still had many people who worked on the games you loved. I also have my own issues with modern entertainment, especially when political messaging gets in the way of good storytelling.
I was the guy responsible for the broodmothers in Origins, but also the guy who wanted Zevran to be a same-sex romance. Years later, my son told me he was gay (he gave me permission to share this). I converted to Catholicism several years ago. My son and I love each other and enjoy arguing over politics and religion.
My favorite character is Conan the Barbarian, and I love the art of Frank Frazetta, Brom and Chris Achilleos.
What I’m trying to say is that it’s possible to hold views that don’t fit neatly into anyone’s political camp, and to love and respect people you disagree with. People are complicated. That includes the people who make the games you love or hate.
