The Al Shara’a brothers have reduced their water consumption transformed the way they irrigate their farms through support from the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF). Supported by the @EuinJordan, @EU4MENAGulf and @theGCF.

We're providing Quds Bank with a US$10 million financing package to drive sustainable growth in the West Bank, by supporting green investments through #GEFF, and women-led businesses. The initiative is supported by @EU4MENAGulf through technical assistance and investment grants.

We have partnered with donors and Suez Canal Bank on a US$50m financing package to expand green lending and trade in Egypt. This deal will help households and #MSMEs invest in climate solutions, build resilience and power growth. Together with @EU4MENAGulf and @theGCF.

Together w/ @EUinEgypt, we are helping the city of Gouna cut on its electricity bill thanks to a new solar PV system supported by our GEFF programme. This new system will help power the city for 25 years, reducing over 8,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.

Through our GEFF programme, we helped Damfi invest in innovative greener baking methods. Thanks to @EUinEgypt they installed a system that combines cooling & heating power, this reduced annual CO2 emissions by 4,962 tonnes, powering the country’s first sourdough bread bakery.

Celebrating the impact of the first Green Economy Financing Facility (#GEFF) programme launched in 2018 in Egypt! To date EBRD & our partners @EUinEgypt @EIB @AFD_France have provided US$ 154 million in financing under the #GEFF for investment in energy efficient technology.
