When there's no meaningful material consequence for #spycops who lie, withhold or obfuscate to @ucpinquiry, is it any wonder so many of them stick to their snide, contemptuous ‘don't recall’ nonsense?

Both HN60 ‘Dave Evans’ & HN1 ‘Matt Rayner’ were found to have had sexual relationships whilst undercover despite having claimed they hadn't.
Mitting previously said #spycops would lose their anonymity if found to have lied to the Inquiry. That's not happened to David or Matthew.
Evans was asked by Don Ramble, a barrister at the inquiry, if he had lied in his first statement. He replied:”I accept that it was not completely truthful with hindsight.”

It's good to hear it is still on. When it does appear I'm sure it is going to put pressure on the Labour Party to open up its files to an independent inquiry (I hope by the same legal team) into its historic, and perhaps current, colluision with #Spycops and #Blacklisting.

PSNI was established in 2002 following the defunding/dissolution of the discredited RUC. But it struggled to retain public confidence and in 2023 the Chief resigned and was replaced by Boutcher. Defunding does seem more possible after yesterday at #Spycops.

# Spycops. The @homesecretaryuk, @10DowningStreet and @Mayoroflondon don't need to wait for the UCPI rep. to decide what to do about MPS now they have Jon Boutcher's verdict. As head of PSNI he's a shoo-in for the new PSL&C and a great advert for defunding.
