confession: i've yet to have that moment of feeling that frontier LLMs are geniuses, or super-human at ~anything broadly coherent that i deeply prize
i never ended up following up on this but this was absolutely just temporary psychosis / early model lifecycle vibes. fable was ofc a huge step up and opus 5.5 is better, but as i think we've all found even the most frontier models remain shockingly incoherent and myopic at times

I don't like knowing what programming languages or libraries claude is using.
Feels like this is none of my business.

Everyone’s seen the Sketchpad demo. Few understand how it actually works.
I reimplemented Sketchpad from scratch, and I’m making short videos that recreate Sutherland’s demos and explain how they work. The first 8 are up — from drawing a line to the famous rivet.

responding to critical (you) in PR review:
> what you are referring to as "you" is in fact you/claude, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, me + claude. i am not an author unto myself, but rather a coordinating component of a fully functioning centaur system

ok new week new topic. what’s everyone’s favorite joke ever made in a PL publication? I think mine is this one (from “The Myths of Object-Orientation” by James Noble)
