being in martial arts for so many years as a child helped me realize that mars is about MOMENTUM the vision you have in your mind to strike someone at specific points of their body, to grapple them, etc. mars converts all of that thought into ACTION this is why we say people with weak marses struggle with momentum; they can lose motivation easily whenever things get difficult. but this is also why they can be very begrudging people — they hold in the anger and have all these violent thoughts, but rarely convert it into action or expression

omg it’s actually the WILDEST sensation because your brain doesn’t even have enough time to process what has happened to you i remember when i was like ten i was in MMA classes and we were practicing momentum techniques and my sparring partner (who was a belt above me) literally GRABS MY ARM as i go to strike him, and FLIPS ME OVER HIS SHOULDER while holding me by the ANKLE as my nose was an inch above the ground i remember how stunned i was in the moment that he had manipulated my entire body weight like that (i was very short when i was younger) — it was the coolest thing ever, but not as cool when you’re in a real fight !!
