Tesla said today that theyāre rebuilding the entire in-vehicle navigation system from the ground up with AI. Itās going to have voice integration, and will learn your personalized preferences:
Ashok: āItās only right that we shouldnāt be depending on external peopleās maps. So we are building our own maps, but not like the same way as traditional maps.
We are building an entire new architecture with essentially AI-based mapping and navigation. Itās going to be super awesome. Itās going to be integrated with voice. You can talk to it and ask for different routes. Itās going to learn your personalized preferences, plus also the fleet preferences. The collective intelligence of all the cars are going to flow into making the maps and navigation.
Youāll see the start and end of trips already use this technology pretty soon as part of the V15 release. Over the next several months, itās just going to take over all of the navigation functions, parking, destination handling. Weāll know you better than you know yourself in some regard for the driving tasks. Itāll handle it fully.ā
Canāt wait for V15. Itās going to include so many new features.

Replying to @tomwookieford
@tomwookieford - we donāt show things that we canāt do in production. The cold gas system can produce over 80kN of force. If everything weighs even a ridiculously high 2500 kg with the mass of gas plus the thruster system, the lift from the thrusters is >3x the mass of the vehicle. When you have more lift than mass, you can get off the ground, when itās that much more over time you have spare air to flip and manuever - simple math reallyā¦.

My first 1,000K post š
Itās really funny how this situation evolved into people saying I just needed to pump it up and plug it, or that I donāt know how to change a spare.
For context, the hole was in the side wall and too big to be plugged. I keep a mobile compressor and plug kit in the car and it has saved me in the past. Definitely recommend if you donāt carry a spare.
Also, Tesla offers a mobile service where they will come to you but I was outside of that service area so they offered to tow it for free to the service center. I could have had it towed to a Discount Tire closer but honestly didnāt think about it in the moment.
Overall the experience was annoying but Tesla made it easy on their part. The app notified me of the low tire condition and offered roadside assistance. From that point a tow truck was at my house in an hour and it was at the service center an hour later and thatās with traffic. Once they opened this morning I called the center and the advisor made it the first car seen this morning and the car was ready for pickup by the time I made it to the service center.
Even with some annoyances Teslas service experience is 2nd to none. āļø

iPhone Duo isnāt even out yet and the Tesla app looks better than the Galaxy Fold Android version.
This is exactly why the iPhone Duo will be successful. Itās always been about app optimization and thatās where Android struggles.
To be fair almost all new vehicles, EV or not donāt come with spare tires anymore. Most were removed to cut down on cost and shave weight to improve fuel economy/range. So this is not an EV only problem.

Great tip for scripting mail box clean up!
Your Grok Bot is sorting 400 emails the SLOW way š³
If the Bot sorts them itself, the model reads all 400.
If the Bot writes a script ONCE, the script sorts them and the model only reads a short summary š„
Same job. Way less reading. And reading is what burns your usage šø
The rule: rules go in code. Judgment stays with the Bot.
Script it when:
ā
The rule is clear and repeatable
ā
The volume is high
ā
You'd give the same answer every time
Tell your Bot once:
"Look at my routines. Find any job that applies the same rule to a lot of items. Write a script for it, use that instead, and only show me the exceptions."
