Mass spec friends. I have journeyed to where the *skies are blue* and found there an MS community that is large and growing quickly... And all without an algorithm that seems to want me to become an extremist who, in the wise words of Juice WRLD "hates the other side".

With all humility, I humbly accept this award, which proves beyond any possible doubt that my colleagues and I are the most synergistic researchers of all time.

I should also point out that there was *zero* probability of me ever winning something like this without Cristina Lento (Lab manager extraordinaire), super talented graduate students, and Andrew James (Sanofi). Plus about a zillion other people being awesome.

Ever wondered how serine octomers form to dominate spectra during ESI? Vida (@AlinezhadVida) and Kirsty (@kirstynyk) explain it all in the Konermann Lab's newest paper! We've got experiments *and* MD simulations in here so there's something for everyone! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jac…

If you want to see what a comprehensive computational analysis of SH2 domain structure and dynamics in an oncoprotein looks like, with a little HDX thrown in on the side, then this here @RauscherLab paper is for you!
Sharing our preprint - an investigation into the effects of an oncogenic driver mutation on the structure and dynamics of an SH2 domain. We tested our simulation predictions using HDX-MS experiments in collaboration with Derek Wilson at York University. @dkwilson2

We investigated whether known allosteric inhibitors binding to a pocket adjacent to helix αD could be combined with ATP mimetic moieties. Read more about this structure-based design strategy that led to highly selective CK2 inhibitors 🔽 sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Developing new drugs? Tired of SPR datasets where 50% of the results are inaccurate and/or suspect? Want more information faster?? Give 'quant' HDX a try! ++Work by PhD grad Esther Wolf with a great system and expertise by @CherylArrowsmi1 and @sackloo 🧵: pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.102…

we would have published (or tried to publish) a paper that was built in such a way so as to be misunderstood by most people who looked at it! To say nothing of a few misleading interpretive errors... So yes, peer review sucks in some ways and sometimes seems like an attack /10

but in many cases even the most challenging and/or maddening reviews lead to a much better - and more impactful - result! /end🧵
