Flake's one of the casters who paved the way for me as a young girl to break into the esports casting world. I felt safe and loved in the Gwent community, and was cheered on every step of the way. If people made weird comments in the chat, Flake's the type of person who would give you a pep talk and tell you to ignore the toxicity that inevitably comes with the job. He was an ally, and years later I'm still thankful for his help.

I feel like it's my duty to add to this thread, as things can quickly get out of hand on the internet and we all love a good ol' cancelling in the name of justice. I've been a caster for Gwent for several years, and have worked with flake online and in person. Let's just say if there was a guy in the bar making me feel unsafe, Flake is the guy I would turn to if need be. I personally know him as a harmless fly, and as cringy as this might sound, I know him as one of the good ones. Again, I'm not referencing his casting here, nor telling anybody not to. I just think it's important to have the whole picture when trying to cancel a person. I'm very proud of how far we as women have come in this community, and I reiterate that this is my personal experience with him. I am not trying to silence anybody's voice, nor take away from your experiences. I will add though, that there are countless women in Gwent who have worked with him over the years, who will echo my sentiments that he has the biggest heart and is truly one of the kindest people I have ever had the honour of meeting.
