Good news for people of Kanpur and Ayodhya as both cities are part of this corridor.

When Bihar set out to spend Rs 500 crore on a new museum, an academic went to court to stop it. A state this poor, he argued, couldn't afford it.
This week, that museum was ranked ninth in the world, above New York’s Met and the Louvre.
Swarajya walked through it last year.🧵

"Someone wants TATA listed in RBI so govt controls it, then one man will buy all companies"
Bhai, basic homework kar leta.
1. Tata Sons is NOT being "listed in RBI". It IS an NBFC - Upper Layer. RBI in Oct 2022 gave list of 16 Upper Layer NBFCs that MUST list by Sept 2025. Tata Sons is one of them. This is RBI rule for ALL big NBFCs, not Modi rule for Tata.
2. Tata Sons ITSELF doesn't want to list. It applied to RBI to pay back Rs 20,000cr debt to become lower layer and avoid listing. RBI is still considering. So your "someone wants to list it" is opposite - Tata wants to DELIST from upper layer.
3. "One man will buy all Tata companies" - Are you serious?
Tata Trusts owns 66% of Tata Sons.
It is owned by CHARITY trusts.
It can NEVER be bought by any Adani/Ambani. Even if Tata Sons lists, Trusts will remain 66% owner. How will "one man" buy it? With what money? Tata Group market cap is $400 BILLION.
4. "Rahul Gandhi warned industrialists" - The man whose party nationalized banks in 1969 and destroyed Tatas with licence raj, is now warning Tatas about govt control? Comedy.
Stop making WhatsApp conspiracy of Tata = Adani takeover.
Tata is not some small shop. It is 157-year-old institution with Trust structure no one can buy.

"Indian people are like fucking animals."
While waiting to board a flight from Kathmandu to New Delhi, I moved to the side of a crowd in front of the jet bridge to catch up with my mother in line when I heard this man behind me say those words.
His name is Joaquin Bonilla Garcia. He's a Spanish passport holder.
When I called him out on his blatant racism, he remained silent. After the flight, upon realizing I had filed a complaint with the airline, he tried to tell me there was a "misunderstanding." But I heard him loud and clear.
I'm sharing this for two reasons.
1) I believe in freedom of speech, and I believe just as strongly that words have meaning. I think hateful statements should bear consequences. I couldn't track him down, but I would appreciate your help in identifying his community and holding him to account.
2) Racism is alive and well, even (especially?) in unlikely settings. I wasn't expecting to hear this kind of language on a flight within South Asia, surrounded by South Asian people, from a tourist who was visiting the region voluntarily. As an Indian American, I feel the pressure to be extra conscious of my behavior when I'm a visitor in another country. Clearly, others feel the opposite, even more empowered to behave badly when they are away from home.

A typical case of “kicking away the ladder.” It seems even more brutal when India is already climbing the mobile phone value chain.
Many who doubted India's PLI scheme for mobile phones (LSEM) seem reluctant to acknowledge the recent progress.
Let me explain. (1/n)
One in four iPhones is made in India, but imported parts and costly subsidies complicate the success story. @andymukherjee70 takes apart an iPhone to explain why copying China's manufacturing model may not pay off 🎥

Mobile PLI stats as follows:
Government incentive paid: Rs 19,000 Cr.
Direct tax collected: Rs 25,000 Cr.
GST collected: Rs 3,00,000 Cr.
Electronics manufacturing employs 25 Lakh people; mobile manufacturing alone employs 12 Lakh.
Cope harder!!

🚨 Announcing a new Master’s in Applied Digital Health and Responsible AI at Ashoka University @AshokaUniv! 📣
🇮🇳 Does India need a dedicated degree for the people who will lead AI and digital transformation in its healthcare system?
👀 Most people who will deploy, buy or audit healthcare AI in India over the next decade have never been formally trained to do it. Clinicians are learning it from vendor demos, engineers are learning medicine from ChatGPT, and administrators are signing contracts somewhere in between.
🚀 Envisioned and led by Anurag Agrawal [@AnuragAgrawalMD], my colleagues and I at Koita Centre for Digital Health at Ashoka University (KCDH-A) [@KCDH_A] are launching a one-year, full-time MSc in Applied Digital Health & Responsible AI. It brings digital health, health systems, health data and responsible AI together in one programme, built around how Indian healthcare actually works.
🧳 Today, India’s options in this space are mostly online executive certificates, self-paced diplomas, or two-year degrees. Until now, a one-year degree like this usually meant a UK MSc with £15,000 to £30,000 in tuition alone. Now it’s available in India.
✅ Who can apply: anyone with a recognised four-year undergraduate degree in any discipline. MBBS, BDS, BPharm, BSc, Economics, BBA and CS all qualify, and so do final-year students. You don’t need any prior coding, technical or medical background.
✅ Deadlines: Round 1 closes 14 December 2026. Classes begin 23 August 2027.
💰 On cost: you can get education loans with interest subvention, so finances alone shouldn’t stop a strong applicant.
👩⚕️ Doctors wondering where AI fits in your career, engineers who want to build for health without breaking things, people in policy who have to make calls on AI: we want your application.
📎 Please share this with anyone who belongs in the first cohort.

Bad news for India-baiters @nytimes & @TheEconomist: Gross #FDI surges in April-August 2026 to $55 billion, set to cross $100 billion this fiscal. (Net FDI Apr-Aug $19 billion despite major Indian corp acquisitions abroad.)
Gross FDI in #China meanwhile falls 4.3% to $82 billion in April-Sept 2026.

The sheer arrogance of claiming to understand India after a week in Delhi. Even a year in the capital cannot capture the political mindsets and ground realities of 1.48 billion Indians. Reducing a vast, complex democracy to one protest isn't journalism. It's intellectual hubris.
