Self-study can take you far. But if you’re serious about mastering Objectivism, there’s something it can’t give you.

We’re hiring a Development Operations Specialist to join the Ayn Rand Institute's fundraising team.
If you’re the kind of person who likes making a complex operation run smoothly—who enjoys creating order, keeping information accurate, helping people, following through, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks—this could be an excellent role for you.
The day-to-day work is concrete and varied. You’ll enter and track gifts, keep our donor records accurate, coordinate receipts and acknowledgments, respond to donor questions, prepare reports and materials for the fundraising team, research donors and prospects, track deadlines and follow-up, and help execute conferences and donor events.
This is not primarily a frontline fundraising role. It’s the operational role that makes effective fundraising possible. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy and reliability, enjoys supporting a team, communicates professionally, and wants to take real ownership of an important role over time.
You’ll also need to care about ARI’s mission. Fundraising makes everything ARI does possible, and this person will play an essential part in helping us serve our donors well and raise the resources needed to advance Ayn Rand’s ideas.
If that sounds like you—or someone you know—please message me.

The Ayn Rand Center Groundbreaking
This month, the Ayn Rand Institute celebrated a historic milestone: the groundbreaking of the new Ayn Rand Center in Austin, Texas. @elanjourno and ARI CEO @taltsfany share footage from the ceremony and discuss the vision for this building as a lasting physical home for Rand's ideas.

In my teens and twenties, I was a self-proclaimed socialist and die-hard environmentalist. Reading Atlas Shrugged opened my eyes to the principles I was defending: self-sacrifice and human-sacrifice for "nature". I thought my principles were noble. I thought my life was meant for service to a collective.
Upon my introduction to Objective epistemology, I learned that my chronic depression was not a chemical imbalance but a contradiction of values.
If you want to value life instead of sacrifice, then go learn from the best philosophers in the world.

The events of Atlas Shrugged famously start on September 2, commemorating the day in 1946 when Ayn Rand drafted the opening scene. In celebration of Atlas Shrugged Day, buy a copy of Ayn Rand’s life-changing novel for yourself or a friend who’s never read it.
"If conceptual knowledge is ongoing work, then the question that remains is: why put in that work? Why go to all the trouble of gaining, internalizing, and maintaining lenses over the course of one’s life? The short answer: because what else is there?"
