In NY in certain areas there’s no on street parking.. so I pay for a spot at my complex. If someone parks in my spot in order for me to park in another spot and not get towed myself I would have to call it in and get the ok bc if they come thru checking and I didn’t call then we both getting towed 😂
Some apartments strict about this If someone is in my spot and I don’t call to let them know I’m parking in somebody else spot then I’ll end up getting towed cause somebody don’t want to park in their spot.
She came home at 11:30 at night to find her neighbor's car in her paid parking spot, so she had it towed.
"There's a sign on the wall and a sign on the floor."
Neighbor: "You could have knocked on the door. We stay right next door to each other."

Should she have knocked first, or was the tow fair?

Logically wouldn’t making your own version make you more safe from exploits?? This guy made his own screenshotone, he can host it anywhere, behind anything, firewall access, private access only for his stuff, etc if you wanted to exploit you wouldn’t know where to start let alone find it.
Right now I have stuff on php version vulnerable to php2shell and I couldn’t care less because I’m the only one that knows about it and uses it.

Literally bought a domain and started working something similar 2 days ago.. got tired of those losers discouraging people from making their own version of things because “nobody want to manage a server” “nobody wants to fix bugs” “they just want to pay and it work” well now they can do that with their own version being installed/deployed automatically and ready to run
A lot of these guys talking against making your own are simply doing so because they vibecoded their own and are trying to make money running it as a SAAS.
Let me tell you guys this it doesn’t take as much effort as he’s making it out to be to get up and running..
People are releasing the code open source and free so you have the code.. now what? In order to post on certain platforms via API you need to apply and approve. But if your running this for yourself you probably only care about FB, IG, Threads, X & TikTok. All the Meta stuff allows you to sign up connect your social accounts and post without approval of your app for api. TikTok allows the same but the automated posted stuff go in as drafts until api approval then you can set it to post publicly. I went and got API approval it took 2 weeks for all Meta stuff and 3 weeks for TikTok.
Now what are the benefits of making your own version?? It’s not just cost savings.
For me a few things that are in my version.
Templates:
I can make a cover template, and inner slides templates which can then be auto filled with content.
Content:
There’s an API that allows content to be pushed into the platform, content that can be automatically used to generate social post that auto fills into templates.

You can make post or templates with this editor..

People start vibecoding open-source projects and think its 1998 again.
This guy created a social media scheduler app as an open source project. As an owner of a similar app let me tell you why this is a failed project already:
1/ for this to work, you need approved apps for each social media network, meta, tiktok, youtube, instagram, threads, facebook, pinterest etc
These processes take weeks or even months to be approved for, that cant be vibecoded
2/ setting this up and running it yourself is a hassle and you have to really fine-tune things around a lot
this is something you cant just vibe code because there are other things involved
if you are creating content or have the idea to create content that does tens of thousands of views, you will skip anything thats not stable
Vibecoded my own rhino8 to make CADs for me and GPT 6.1 Sol is performing better than opus 5.5 at taking a image and remaking it 1:1 not sure if it’s because Sol is a model that can make images
I’m using Claude I told it give me a prompt let me see if another AI can figure it out and it started figuring it out 😂
Apple rejecting all my apps and a lot of people apps. They need to adjust because now they have people that’s going to push to be able to make apps and put it on their phone. Until then I’m going Android make my shit and install we shouldn’t have to wait weeks to put out apps.

Claude made me these 2 templates with my DraftsDB MCP.. it went to website analyzed it and then made the templates.
