THE CCTV FOOTAGE FROM THE EKITI ATTACK MUST NOT DISAPPEAR!
The attack on Omoyele Sowore in Ado-Ekiti yesterday must not be treated as an ordinary political disagreement or a mere altercation. The allegations surrounding this incident are extremely serious and demand an independent, transparent investigation.
What makes this situation even more disturbing is that the DSS and the Ekiti State Police Command have taken possession of the CCTV footage from the location where the attack happened.
Why should security agencies be holding on to evidence that could help Nigerians and the international community identify those responsible?
If the attackers were ordinary citizens acting independently, why not release the footage and allow the world to see their faces? Why should CCTV evidence become inaccessible when it is precisely what is needed to establish the truth?
There are serious hands pointing towards the involvement of individuals associated with the so-called City Boys and elements connected to the Ekiti State Government. These must be investigated, not buried. If anybody in government, the security agencies or any political pressure group had a hand in this attack, the CCTV footage could help expose them.
The DSS is not above the law. The police are not above the law. No state government has the constitutional authority to use violence, intimidation or security institutions against political opponents.
We demand the immediate preservation and independent examination of the CCTV footage, the identification of every individual involved, and the prosecution of anyone found culpable, regardless of political connections or government position.
This is bigger than Sowore. It is about the safety of every Nigerian who dares to criticise those in power, challenge injustice or participate in opposition politics.
If the the information are false, let the footage clear everybody's name. If they are true, let the footage expose those responsible.

What fascinates me is how some of you suddenly become advocates of freedom of speech whenever Sowore is involved. Let's unpack this nonsense.
A lawyer allegedly called Sowore a tout, he reacted and now, the conclusion is that he is against freedom of speech. Like really? So every argument is now freedom of speech?
If I call somebody a thief, a criminal, an idiot, or a fraud to his face and he confronts me, the issue automatically becomes freedom of speech? Not accountability for what I said? Interesting.
The funny part is that the same people posting this were nowhere to be found when politicians were calling citizens all sorts of names. Suddenly they have become professors of free speech because they saw a clip of Sowore arguing with somebody.
Even more hilarious is this idea that activists must be robots. Sowore is expected to confront presidents, governors, DSS, police brutality, corruption, electoral fraud and oppression. But the moment he gets into a confrontation himself, some people start behaving as if Moses just broke the Ten Commandments, the hypocrisy is astonishing.
Talking about the logic, you say he has called politicians names which is true, but did he call them names because he disagreed with their policies and actions? Or did he call them names because they hurt his feelings? Two entire different things.
What is even more funny is the celebration.
A man has spent decades getting arrested, detained, assaulted, tear-gassed, and dragged through courts.
Yet some people think the biggest scandal in his life is that he exchanged words with a lawyer. Is that how desperate the anti-Sowore movement has become?
After all the arrests, activism, reporting, protests and the court battles, the strongest attack available is now:

My fellow Nigerians, if shouting during heated arguments is now the qualification for disqualification, I'm afraid 99% of our politicians would be permanently banned from public office.
At this point, some of these critics don't even sound serious. They just sound disappointed that the man they have spent years attacking is still standing. Anyway, thank you for reminding me. I think it's time.

The African Action Congress (AAC) has formally written to President Bola Tinubu, requesting permission to inaugurate its Presidential Campaign Council for its Presidential candidate @sowore at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, on November 11, 2026.
In a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by its National Secretary, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghena, the party also demanded food, drinks, and logistical support for 5,000 participants from Nigeria and abroad.
The AAC said its request was based on the principles of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness, and equal treatment, citing similar arrangements reportedly extended to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The party insisted that public institutions must serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination and challenged the Tinubu administration to demonstrate its commitment to fairness and equal access. #AACOurParty #Sowore2027
