Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for WhatsApp. You can search and read your personal Whatsapp messages, search your contacts, and send messages to individuals or groups. You can also send media files, including images, videos, documents, and audio messages. Great project @Luke
I built an MCP server for WhatsApp It connects to your personal WhatsApp account You can search your messages, contacts and send messages It's fully open-source, self-hosted, and doesn't rely on third-party APIs

Not sure if some folks are fully realizing what we launched today so to make it more explicit: You can bring any custom MCP server into claude dot ai now. All you need is to host it somewhere (remote MCP) and provide the URL link to add it in.

The reality no one tells you: - “I spent the following week doing 3am firefights with errors and random 500s I couldn’t reproduce” - "I started the project from scratch a few times" - "I hired a freelance dev to help me out" This is the real startup founder arc in 2025.
Building in public is great, but the actual reality is: - Build in Public -> Refactor in Private. Public post: “I vibe-coded my app and launched in a weekend.” The reality in private: - “I spent the following week doing 3am firefights with webhook errors and random 500s I couldn’t reproduce” - "I started the project from scratch a few times" - "I hired a freelance dev to help me figure this out" This is the real startup founder arc in 2025. Thanks to tools like Lovable, n8n, and GPT copilots, solo founders are launching faster than ever. No tech cofounder. No dev shop. Just ideas, hustle, and AI. It's obviously great! But here’s the real struggles: – MVPs break under real user traffic – No-code automations that silently stop running overnight – Paid plans that can’t be rolled out because the auth logic is spaghetti So what happens? Founders quietly pause their marketing. They stop tweeting about their MRR milestones. And they start looking for someone who can fix it. They just need a real Senior Engineer. Or a Fractional CTO. Someone who’s seen the movie before and who can save their product, and MRR.

“hire an AI before you hire a human.” from LEAKED internal memo from CEO of Shopify
LEAKED internal memo from CEO of Shopify @tobi around AI 10 quick takeaways i have after reading it: 1. a subtle but huge reframe: “hire an AI before you hire a human.” 2. AI is now a baseline expectation at shopify. hiring filters will probably favor ai-fluent candidates at shopify and other companies. 3. AI agents are now treated like teammates, not tools. 4. prompting is now a core skill. top performers will be top prompters. 5. AI usage is now measured. kinda wild. probably a business idea there to build the lattice for AI usage. 6. AI-first prototyping is the new standard. shipping speed will probably 10x even at a $100B company like Shopify. 7. org charts blur, headcount planning now includes bots, not just bodies. 8. AI literacy is the new coding literacy. prompting, contextualizing, or evaluating ai output is become mandatory. 9. AI is now a core layer in the software stack. not a plugin. not an add-on. ai sits beside infra, backend, frontend, and design. the best teams will be the ones who treat it like infrastructure. 10. tobi’s memo screams one thing: more impact per person. shopify is early to this, but i bet this will hit every major company over the next 12-24 months.
