True.Second rate artists are without talent so of course they 'take a stand' on whatever is on the agenda in the celebrity world.Real artists are dedicated to their ART and focus on creating something that will contribute to beauty and greatness our world.
‘Second-rate artists and mediocrities can take a stand. Real artists don’t take a stand on anything’ — John Banville buff.ly/HSmql5q

For all the hand wringing about the ‘far right’, it turns out the far left is a real danger to society. This week’s @Independent_ie column

Too right Brenda!
The most worrying element of the, video, one which has been lost amid the political point-scoring and the gleeful ridicule, has been the casual depiction of older people as repulsive, grotesque and decrepit, from whom it is perfectly acceptable to recoil in horror

Remember when Kielty announced a while back that you can go on the Late Late and "say anything the f*ck you want"? Ok, invite on @Alan__Shatter to say anything the f*ck he wants.

Thank you, Minister McEntee. The violent targeting and persecution of Christians is a global human rights catastrophe.

This footage is from the very beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. Look at that little Ukrainian boy, walking towards the border in tears, surrounded by families fleeing a Russian invasion. Now consider the extraordinary moral bankruptcy of Trump, Rubio, Hegseth and Musk, whose message to Ukraine increasingly amounts to: “Fuck Ukraine. Russia gets our sympathy.”
Meanwhile, Steve Witkoff apparently sees Putin as some sort of humanitarian. Quite remarkable. Most people can distinguish a humanitarian from a man whose army bombs hospitals and forces children to flee their homes. Apparently, this requires a level of intellectual sophistication beyond certain members of the American establishment.
It hardly takes a magnificent imagination to work out which side these gentlemen might have found more accommodating in 1939.
“Never again” was supposed to mean something. It wasn’t a decorative slogan to be dusted off once a year while making excuses for the next dictator.
And to those who admire Russia as some glorious defender of Western civilisation, perhaps try learning something about the country. Russia has millions of Muslim citizens. It is hardly the anti-Muslim paradise some of its Western admirers imagine. Nor does Putin’s dictatorship represent the democratic freedoms they claim to cherish.
But then, understanding history, geography or basic human decency does rather spoil the pleasure of having absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.
That little boy understood who the aggressor was. Remarkable how many supposedly powerful adults still struggle with it.

The minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence is 100% correct in her statements about Russia. You know this because apart from the evidence, the Vatniks are out in force, directed by the embassy in Rathgar. Again: The Minister is 100% correct in her statements about Russia!
The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence has been accused of making "reprehensible and misleading" comments in the Dáil about Russia's role in the UN Security Council and its approach to UN peacekeeping missions

One thing I miss about life before the war?
Not thinking about war.
That’s it.
Just waking up and having absolutely no idea what the russian army did overnight.
I can’t even remember what that feels like anymore.
