Why should you be staking?
Token inflation is a fee on unstaked SOL, paid by users that need real-time security against double spends.
Users that are willing to stake and help guarantee that double spends do not occur are collecting the issuance.
Solana's tech was already #1 for scaled crypto use cases. With Alpenglow, Solana is now light years ahead.
The audacity to replace the core mechanisms of the network while handling thousands of live TPS is uniquely Solana.
Congrats to the @anza_xyz team on shipping.

no, we continue to aggressively pursue this direction.
incremental march:
- 200ms slots
- Alpenglow
- IBRL
- Geo-Aware Handoffs
- Market tick
- In-protocol ordering
- 2 Proposers
- The rest
2 primary changes since published Constellation design:
1. Prioritizing Geo-aware work. This provides some immediate benefits but also helpful for Constellation
2. Shipping multiple proposers before consensus leader / attestations
Hylo closed a $1M strategic funding round led by @SolanaVentures with participation from @colosseum.
This marks Solana Ventures' 2nd and Colosseum's 3rd investment in Hylo, reflecting their continued conviction in our vision to scale leverage and yield infrastructure on Solana.

1/8 There are rumors of a new kind of sandwich on Solana.
However, a sandwich needs one thing: knowing your trade before it lands.
We looked at the on-chain data and found no sign of that. What we see is a momentum bet.

Validators, Alpenglow is almost here, activating epoch 1064 (Oct 21st ~15:00 UTC)!
Make sure to:
- Upgrade to an agave based release v4.3.2
- Turn off your vote mods
- Fund your vote account with enough sol to cover the VAT (0.82+ SOL)

Replying to @solana
@solana is increasingly supporting real-world financial activity. Tokenized real-world assets using Solana as a distributed asset layer have grown from roughly $1 billion to $4.4 billion in a year, while stablecoin volume exceeded $2 trillion during Q1 2026.
Adoption is evident. How is the network infrastructure supporting that scale?

Random leader schedule leaves handoff latency on the table. That's an inefficiency.
SIMD-0675 provides a clever way of reordering it so nearby validators hand off to each other.
But the outcome is parameter dependent.
We don't want parameters to be a guess.
Our recent analysis provides a way to quantify what happens when you change these parameters.
You can now measure:
- handoff gain vs geographic persistence
- short-term regional concentration
- spillover for low-stake regions
- how much a fake location attack pays

Operators, remember to keep your vote account topped up with at least 0.83 SOL in order to pay the VAT and be rent-exempt.
