I joined Twitter when it was just text and curiosity. 16+ years later, it’s a museum of my thoughts, mistakes, and growth. And it never forgets a single piece. I used to just pass time here, now, I'm thinking maybe it's time to build. For some people, Twitter is a full-time job now — content creators, community managers, influencers, even customer service reps live on that timeline. It’s wild how a platform that started as “What’s happening?” turned into a grind for reach, brand deals, and algorithm-chasing. But for people like me? It’s still just a space to kill time, drop thoughts, and watch the chaos unfold. Two totally different worlds coexisting on the same app. And lately? Some of the people I’ve followed for years finally followed back, it feels like I'm no longer just a ghost in the crowd, I'm suddenly seen. That little notification has flipped my whole energy on the app, from passive scrolling to “maybe I do belong here too.” Thank you all for the support. – at Nigeria

I stopped at a canteen to have some amala in Offa few days ago and a guy approached me. I'm used to being approached everywhere and most times I even interject with "From social media abi?" once a stranger walks towards me in such manner. "Sir, I know you? I was a student of the University of Offa and, last year, you came to our school to talk to us on career and encouraged us", the young man started. He was wearing what appeared to be commercial okada rider jacket. A few seconds of confusion. Do I have Twitter followers riding okada? This guy looks too polished to be an okada rider. "I brought someone here", he added. This looks like someone I need to have deeper discussion with so I gave him my Whatsapp number as I felt he was at the mercy of the passenger he brought. Not in a hurry as I had thought as I still saw him after I settled at my table, so I asked him to grab a chair and let us talk the talk immediately rather than on Whatsapp later. His story goes: He was an accounting student, and was encouraged by the career talk I had given last year and he had enrolled for ICAN ATS, passed stage 1 and expecting result of stage 2 he wrote recently. ICAN has 5-6 stages for ATS route (non-graduate route). "So what happened? Were you rusticated?", I quipped, with each morsel of amala becoming heavier in my hand. Then series of bombshells: He had lost both parents. He had been fending for himself almost all his life. He is in his mid 20s. He came to Offa from a nearby village five years ago, for NCE. He got admission into UniOffa as DE to 200L. He spent nights working at a poultry and days a student. More bombshells: He dropped out in 300L when he could not afford school fees. He could not raise the school fees when he resumed 300L. The poultry work was stressful too. So he started doing okada. More: His CGPA at the end of 200L was 4.0/5.0. A solid CGPA. UniOffa school fee is less than N400k, one of the cheapest private universities in Nigeria. ICAN is cheaper (less than N100k per diet?) but I told him immediately that that ICAN will be useless without a degree. He has to go back to school and complete the degree. Serious employer looks at your degree before your professional cert. I'm on the Governing Council of the school (he didn't know - a surprise - and he probably thought I was just brought as an external speaker at that career event. And I didn't tell him.) I asked him to go back to the school and enquire whether he can resume the 300L that just started (his set are in 400L now but that shouldn't matter). I have seen people struggle in life. Not the worst experience, but my mind kept flashing back. Someone is dropping out of school, from a brilliant 4-pointer accounting student to an okada rider because, all his life, he couldn't raise sub N400k. An amount some guys spend on a random night at a tier 3 club. Touching. Joe will finish that degree. In shaa Allah.

Two months ago, I had an accident that could have killed me and other people, under certain conditions. I was researching a new topic. So, I spent the whole night reading. Knowledge often feels like drugs to me. Once I'm learning something new and interesting, my whole body will be hyper and charged. Till morning, I didn't feel exhausted. So, I drove out to quickly run an errand. I had a blackout. It was like someone switched my button off. I opened my eyes and met myself almost entering the gutter on the opposite side. In my half-aware state, I panicked and swerved back to my own side of the road. I tried balancing the steering but I couldn't. My car jumped the gutter and hit a kiosk that was by the road. I came down from the car, called my mechanic and paid some men to help me remove the car and I went home to sleep. It was around 7am on a Saturday. If I had my children in the car or if I was living in a busy area, the story would probably have been different. If someone was in the kiosk, the story could have been different. I learnt an important lesson. No matter how much I have to read, I prioritize sleep now. If I'm unable to get six hours of sleep in the night, I don't drive myself the next day. The life we're hustling for can just be gone in an instant 🫰🏾 if we're not careful. To someone like me out there, learn when to slow down. I had to replace my bumper, radiator, fan and repair the bonnet, before repainting the car. It cost me a lot of money. But it could have cost me my life...and that of my loved ones.

Wizarab mahn... what a guy. he came to @CitiLounge with Cross to eat the full goat platter, then the next day he made a post about the platter challenge also sponsoring couple of winners for the challenge. Since then, we have sold a lot of full goat platter and a number of them specifically mentioned his name for being the reason why they came. All these without collecting a dime and instead even paid out of pocket for some winners. This is me saying Thank you @Wizarab10. I really appreciate gaan. Meanwhile, now that we know you guys can eat a lot 🤦🏾... we are refining the challenge to 3 people. If 3 people can finish the full goat, they get a refund. You can also just come in with your crew to eat the full goat too. DM @CitiLounge for reservation. Offer valid while stock lasts oooooo cos I no trust una.
If 5 people can finish a full goat at @CitiLounge, I will cover the bill. Arrange your team of 5 and try it out. You people have been making mouth since.

I wonder why many people are shocked that even big supermarkets sells fake. We grew up believing "big supermarket means original," but a supermarket is only as original as its supply chain. And in Nigeria, the supply chain for many fast-moving goods; drinks, milk, seasonings, cosmetics, and even drugs is compromised. A lot of people think fake products are made by one guy in a backyard mixing 10 bottles in a bucket. That's an old idea. The counterfeiters are often the distributors themselves. The person making the fake is not an outsider. It's the same big distributor who buys 1 truck of original products like Milo, Fearless, or Hollandia. He will then produce another full truck of fakes in a factory. So he mixes cartons of original and cartons of fake in the same truck. Even the big supermarket won't know. The original covers for the fake. That's why supermarkets are shocked too. The supplier comes with a real invoice, a real truck, and even a printed NAFDAC number. The supermarket staff just receive and shelve it. Nobody knows until a customer says "this one tastes different."

I block people that replies with insults I block people that blocks me I block people that I think their content can affect my life negatively E.g Punters, Porn etc
The fact that we disagree and argue doesn't mean we should block ourselves. I rarely block anyone. Can't remember when last I blocked. We can't always agree on everything, we can disagree respectively and have constructive criticisms. The spice of life is seeing differing opinions and exchanging contrasting ideas. But if you strike a conversation with clear insults, verbose vulgarity, snide derogatory remarks. It shows there's a vacuum in your head and your thinking lobe is atrophied, your thought process is similar to animals in a menagerie, therefore you should be blocked.

If it is an hospital around Mokola you did the test. They didn’t accidentally switch anything. It’s a racket. They will tell you you have HIV. Then out of fear, you will ask what can be done. They will tell you there is a supplement that can help. Thats where the extortion will start. Then they will tell you there is a cure. That’s when the real extortion will start. You cannot tell anybody. Soo you keep paying. It is an old playbook. When they don chop you wella, they can even introduce a cure to you for let’s say 10m or 15m. Once you pay, they give you pain reliever or any nonsense drug. And ask you to go do test somewhere else. That’s where you will know you don’t have any HIV again. You will still even call them and be thanking them even after they don scam you. Same gimmick for penis enlargement creams and all. If you buy penis enlargement cream, you cannot call out the person that sold it to you that it didn’t work. Welcome to my scam 101 Ted talk. 😅
Did an HIV test in 2014 and somehow the hospital staff accidentally switched my result with the man who did his test before me,I started crying immediately I saw it was positive. My sister dey shout “They will now be using 'Ile Awon Deji to ni AIDS' to describe our house." I had to redo the test 6 times.

Breast is life, Breast is life But this one don take life oh
Charges dropped against a woman whose husband suffocated on her br£ast after a medical examination found no physical injuries indicating a struggle. Prosecutors dropped negligent homicide charges against Marlene Voss, a 44-year-old woman from Akron, Ohio, after investigators determined her husband's death was a tragic accident. Her husband, 52-year-old Harold Voss, d+£d from accidental positional asphyxiation after suffocating under her br£astwhile the couple slept in their home. Marlene Voss explained that she awoke to find her husband unresponsive beside her, with his head partially underneath one of her breasts Following her arrest, an autopsy was conducted to ascertain the cause of de@th but medical examiners ruled that the d£ath was a tragic accident caused by positional asphyxia, noting there were no signs of a struggle or foul play. Prosecutors determined the physical evidence did not support a criminal case and dismissed the negligent homicide charge against Marlene Voss. Neighbors also corroborated that the couple was loving and had no history of domestic discord.

Observing your toddler. Don't disturb them!! Now I have a 2 year independent child who wants to do everything by himself
Never disturb a toddler in this moment! Don’t help. Don’t suggest. Observe. A capable problem solver is in training and development.

Coke Zero is different from normal Coca cola Even while placing them together,do you know that the level of exposure is not the same?
Bought all these, drank them at different times and remained little. I left each of them in the sun for weeks (6 weeks now) and they all changed color differently. Can scientists (Chemistry Students) explain why they all have different colors and they are all Coca_cola?
