been taking bromantane daily for a few weeks now. 50-75mg/day sublingual in MCT oil from kimera, along with cofactors like l-tyrosine, b complex, magnesium. still just as effective as day 1. works much much better than the bromantane i tried in several forms over the years from science.bio and umbrella labs. finally get the hype. juggling half a dozen threads of agent work, while still not my preferred work modality, was much less stressful. some of this was surely due to developing better meta-attention practices than i had in the spring where the multithreading felt like it was frying my brain. but the anxiolytic effect of bromantane plus the additional focus certainly helped. so if youve tried bromantane before and it didnt do much, find a different source. also try it sublingual in MCT oil. a few more weeks and ill come off of and see if the claim that many of its beneficial effects persist after you stop taking it. me and stimulants dont get along. so ive tried many many other things to substitute for improved focus. i even started meditating. high quality bromantane in MCT is whats finally working for me.

extremely important that this generative UI library is able to turn your desktop topology into an alexander horned sphere

give this to your agent and ask it to make you a multiverse finance arbitrage bot to use on our testnet

so now im trying to use gleam to define a generative UI DSL where components are actors and agents can build a front-end with it and use gleam's hot code swapping to change the DSL itself on the fly. one of the coolest things i got to do working on urbit was build the doccords update to hoon and then hoon itself was updated on the network and all the nodes updated to a new version of the language without shutting down. and ive been fascinated with the idea of changing the programming language of running code in real time ever since. so let's try it for generative UI. remains to be seen whether its useful, but it at least sounds cool.

Trying to shrink my metaharness urge into something smaller that doesn't exist yet. Maybe a generative UI middleware between a harness and a frontend written in gleam, w/ actor model UI elements as BEAM processes. So it like wraps pi and generates a UI that fits into a multiplexer like tern. I never did frontend work before it was vibe codable so my brain is still free of old best practices constraining my thinking.

Be an actual weightlifter and a spiritual weightlifter while you're at it. All 3 mutually support one another
Be a cognitive weightlifter. Thinking is basically activating and manipulating chunks of information. Chunks are cognitive musculature. Better thinkers have bigger chunks (and they’re better organized and more readily retrievable). The way you build big chunks is by retrieving information from memory, unassisted. You lift information up off the ground of long-term memory and raise it into working memory. And as it gets easier, you make the chunks bigger and the retrieval conditions harder: - longer spacing - less priming - time constraints That’s the cognitive equivalent of adding weight to the bar.

feel like im falling for the most obvious nerd snipe, building a meta-harness that can be modified at runtime. extreme boondoggling

we built our infra using elixir btw. has been really fun learning about the BEAM runtime. i like the looks of gleam even more because of the type system, but the smaller ecosystem meant shipping would take longer. ill find something else fun to do with gleam in the meantime

every price is an average of every future people think could happen ex: tesla blends a world where robotaxis work with one where they don’t. you can’t buy just one, you get the whole blur branchpoint’s testnet lets you split it 1 ETH becomes "ETH if the etf passes" and "ETH if it doesn’t". keep the one you believe in, sell the other. when it resolves, the loser disappears and the winner is just ETH again and you can lend, borrow and build baskets on those pieces. trade exactly your view, nothing else options and insurance did this for simple bets or big firms only. this opens it to any event, for anyone prediction markets stop being a side bet and become the layer everything else gets priced on this is where it gets big

changed things up this morning and instead of watching my breath through my nose during meditation i watched my belly instead. way different experience! after awhile i noticed that the right half of my belly felt "brighter" than the left half. eventually i was able to feel my breath in my whole body (which has happened before a couple times during loving-kindness but never when watching my nostrils) and then i noticed that the entire right half of my body seemed brighter than the left half. ive noticed this before with my throat when ive watched my breath in my throat. it always freaked me out a little, made me worry something was wrong. i told my yoga teacher about it last year and he told me to keep track of which side it is. and that lead to me discovering that which side feelers brighter switches (it was something that came up so infrequently i never remembered which side was which). he said this was related to which of the two primary side nadis (ida/pingala) is more active at the moment, and that alternate nostril breathing is how you balance things out here. i did not end up doing much alternate nostril breathing but if i now have a reliable way of feeling the breath in my whole body, im definitely interested to do some experiments with it.

writing method i want to try soon: give model an idea for an article, ask for an outline of topics and sources to research on them, have it interview you about your thoughts (30-60 minutes of rambling), then rewrites the interview into an article format mostly using your own words and then you edit from there

this summer i developed a stye on the lower eyelid of both eyes and ive been doing warm compresses for 10 minutes anywhere from 2 to 6 times per day to get rid of them. since my eyes are covered there's not a whole lot i can do, so i either listen to 10 minutes of a podcast or do 10 minutes of meditation. this has been going on for about three months now and the styes are almost gone. but i hope i keep the habit of taking 10 minutes to meditate a few times per day.
