Idk but thru those stories poems Maya was like a sister , a friend , it just felt like she cared more about the person reading than herself
R.I.P Maya Angelou its trully sad to lose such a well to do , note able woman of valour ! But thank you for being of service to us
Especially as a black there is just not many women like her around anymore . I feel privileged to have known about her especially her poems
It changed me , I stood up for myself at school I refused to play victim . It's sad to lose such an individual there is not many like her
Then I read a quote were she said "I am changed by the things that happen to me but I will not let them reduce me " or something
I remember reading "Still I rise " by Maya Angelou in my creative class , I went home and read it over and over and over again
I became depressed tbh I hated my life , being bullied wasn't fun either so I turned to literature the one thing I have always loved
I found it tough being in the minority worse as a girl especially because most of the kids were racist ,
I came to Australia when I was 14 I was one of the few black girls at my school , we were less than 10 black kids
There is nothing more frightening for lack of a better word than dreaming of something then having it happen exactly how you dreamt it.

@darabrownie @Ms_Frantrele @thecityofjules To help yourself . You sit there and do that and magically hope that the world rids itself
@darabrownie @Ms_Frantrele @thecityofjules Make this situation better . YOU are playing victim , complaining and whining and doing nothing
