Think I’m going off surma.dev/things/is-postmess… > Something that the algorithm above doesn’t spell out explicitly is the fact that serialization blocks the sending realm, while deserialization blocks the receiving realm.

Huh, I’ve always been under the impression that postMessage + structured clone still requires (blocking) deserialization on the main thread.

to clarify, wondering if the worker is really necessary here vs keeping things simpler and fetching on the main thread

Neat post! I’m confused about the worker bit: > Updating data may require fetching data from the server, which can be slow. If we can offload this slow work somewhere we can avoid stalling the interactivity of the UI This should be mostly async except the JSON parse?

Is a similar vein, would be neat if Sentry could try and replicate bugs the SDK already found by inferring a user’s trail via breadcrumbs (guessing they’re too lossy, but would be cool)

Curious what the MITM role was (passive traffic collection for learning flows? Replaying requests for instrumented clients without hitting real server later)?

👇 Extremely valuable hire for any team. Would not be on the market if I could hire out of state

Last published info I’ve been referencing is a talk from @g33konaut saying there’s a queue (separate from the normal crawler queue) for full rendering in Chrome, and that can be delayed from minutes to a week youtube.com/watch?v=YP2tMBhy…. 2018 tho so 🤷‍♂️
