Build, Protect, Strengthen Your Bones for Life! Divisional Railway Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, observed World Osteoporosis Day. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Ajith Kumar V V, CMS/TVC. An awareness session on osteoporosis, bone health and preventive measures was conducted by Dr Alan Thomas, Sr. DMO/Ortho/TVP. As part of the programme, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) scanning was conducted for 120 beneficiaries. Osteoporosis was detected in 6 individuals enabling them to seek appropriate medical advice and follow-up care.
