Taylor released Reputation after her sexual assault trial, where a radio dj touched her inappropriately. People were making posts laughing at her assault. It's where a lot of the body shaming "ass" jokes came from. She even shows a dollar to signify what she won in the trial in the "Look What You Made Me Do" video. It wasn't just snakes, people were (and still are) horrible, misogynistic, and evil to her.
