I read today that some people are being shamed for being placed on furlough. This needs to stop. I have furloughed two members of my team - my choice not theirs - but even though they are not currently working they are as valuable to me as they ever were.

I loathe pervasive term 'unskilled'. Are care-workers 'unskilled'? It is a callously bureaucratic way to describe such dedicated men and women. 'Low paid' yes, sometimes scandalously so, but skilled in so many ways that few of us could begin to emulate.
