Some journeys feel like a dream. Our trip to Phoksundo Lake was unforgettable. The stunning landscapes, serene views and the most stunning river on the way, originated from the Lake, and the Lake itself, its beauty is beyond words- astounding, magical and must-see for everyone.

Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr Shisir Khanal @shisir addressed the Plenary of the Pre-COP Leaders’ Event in Fiji today. Highlighting the shared climate vulnerabilities of Himalayan and Pacific island nations, he stressed that mountains and oceans are part of an indivisible planetary continuum, connected by the water cycle and a common future. Referring to the recent devastating Bhote Koshi Floods in Nepal, the Hon. Minister underscored the urgency of addressing climate injustice, noting that countries contributing least to global GHG emissions are bearing disproportionate loss of lives, infrastructure and development gains. Ahead of COP31, he outlined Nepal’s priorities: upholding the 1.5°C goal, predictable and grant-based adaptation finance, full operationalisation of the Loss and Damage Fund, and a “Sagarmatha to the Sea” partnership linking mountain and ocean nations. Referring to Fiji’s Solesolevaki and Nepal’s Shramadāna, he called for global solidarity and collective leadership to turn shared climate vulnerability into climate justice.
