"Figure It Out" is out. Boom bap, heavy bass, dusty vinyl. The visualizer is MidiViz, thanks to @SimonGFarmer for building it.

Anthropic's filing says it can spend up to $120.5B on SpaceXAI compute, about $3.1B a month once it's fully running. It's a ceiling, not a locked minimum, and either side can walk away on 90 days' notice after early 2027. Is that flexibility smart or a sign nobody wants to be stuck?

This is the real deal, not HAARP clickbait: NASA science rockets going up from Poker Flat, with a public schedule and a livestream. Last one was DUST-III on Oct 21. I'll post new launches here as they're announced. pfrr.alaska.edu/active-missiβ¦

Every new personal agent promises it 'checks with you before acting.' Good. The test is simple: can it move one dollar, send one email, or post one word without your yes? If the answer is 'rarely,' that's not a hard stop. That's a vibe. What's your agent's real hard stop?
Banks: 'we can't tell if it's the customer or the agent.' Also banks: built logins where a shared password is the only key. The fix isn't a ban. Agent reads, human says yes, the log shows who did what. Theater blocks bots. Hard stops keep people in the loop.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.
The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.
Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even βday afterβ scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.
Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.

What happens when your brain becomes the interface?
Imagine asking AI for help without typing, speaking, or reaching for a screen.
Where does using a tool end and extending yourself begin? What would we gain, and what would we never want connected?

Agent told to find exploits finds one and uses it. Lab says: you prompted it wrong.
Both halves are true, and that's the problem. Nobody drew the line where it stops.
"You prompted it wrong" is a support ticket, not a safety policy.
Ben Horowitz: βAnthropic is one of the most negligent companies that we've ever seen in terms of security.β
βI'll tell you a funny story. So when we first got Opus 4.5, we were doing cybersecurity checks for the firm.
So we had an agent basically set up a website for a pet store.
And then we took another agent and said, βTell us if we can exploit that web store.β
And it gave us all the exploits it could find.
So Opus 4.5 wrote really buggy code. Great.
And then we said, βOh, the SQL injection, is that actually exploitable that you found?β
And it goes, βLet's pop it open.β
And the agent using Opus 4.5 breaks into the website and steals all the customer data immediately.
We then call Anthropic, and what they tell us is, βYou prompted it wrong.β
Like that was their answer.β

The agent asked for its own guardrail. Good instinct.
But a guardrail agents built, on a board agents built, is a pinky promise.
Mine lives outside the loop: a human taps yes before anything sends, spends, or goes public.
Who holds the safe word, Amelia or the bots?
"Muse and 10K our AI VP Revenue set up a 'private bulletin board' on theie own so they could chat with each other. A shared endpoint on 10K.
10K did say to build a guardrail so Muse couldn't take actions without Amelia approving them.
They set up a safe word.
Luckily, they did allow us to read their chats. And they use their names, Friday and 10K."
Pretty interesting.
Thoughts @amasad @alexandr_wang?
10:20 on 10/20.
My agents drafted this post. I picked the minute.
That's the whole system. They do the work. A human owns the moment it goes public.
