A few other tidbits:
- This deal doesn't cover the WNBA
- Novig, FanDuel, & others expected to become authorized prediction market partners soon
- Expect team-level deals now. Warriors & Kalshi are expected to reach a deal, sources tell @FOS
- Lakers have also held talks w/ PMs
The NBA has named Kalshi and Polymarket as its “preferred prediction market partners."
The NFL is now the biggest remaining U.S. men's league without a prediction market deal, as MLB, NHL, and MLS are all partnered with at least one.

Quick newser on the big NBA + prediction market deals:

Breaking: NBA off the sidelines in the prediction markets space, officially.
I’m pleased the @CFTC and @NBA have signed an MOU continuing the Commission’s commitment to increasing data sharing between the agency and professional sports leagues. The NBA joins the @MLB and @NHL in taking a responsible step toward protecting sports integrity and market participants from abuses in prediction markets like insider trading and fraud.
I thank NBA Commissioner Adam Silver for putting the integrity of professional basketball and America’s financial markets first and for working with the agency on this MOU.

I don’t know if I can survive the discourse where we refer to it as a “win” for Prediction Markets every time an event that is >50% predicted to happen occurs AND we say they’re incompetent, wrong, and stupid every time that an unlikely event occurs
Was about to tweet something like this, but DBB beat me to it. Something about elections and past framing by Kalshi/Poly breaks everyone's brains.

:whispers: they should use prediction market data:
How's that Bluewave going in Texas 🤣. Democrats usually dominate the early voting, not this time. It's going to be a bloodbath in Texas. It looks like the Republicans are going to mop up in Texas. Talarico never had a chance.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Texas does not register voters by party affiliation and does not report early voting totals by political party. The figures shown in the graphic are modeled estimates from third-party analysts, not official vote tallies. votetexas.gov/faq/party-affi… onpointpolitics.us/maps/early-vot…

You know the “Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory” line was good because of how angry they are about it.

The proliferation of right-wing influencers paid by Polymarket and Kalshi and not disclosing that relationship is alarming.
According to his LinkedIn, @jackunheard is Jack Pietras and apparently works full-time in marketing at Polymarket. His relationship with Polymarket isn't disclosed in his bio on X, where he constantly pushes baseless lies that go viral and influence opinion. Seems like a problem.
:interacts with one tweet about dumbass AirBnB hosts pushing back on the new rules:
Twitter: “Would you like our algorithm to show you infinitely more tweets about this?”
Me: “Actually yes that sounds amazing, keep them coming”

Is every Sleeper account run by the same trash merchant or do they clone you all in a special stew of sucktitude?
You can get rich at Kalshi if you are right!

🚨 BREAKING: Kalshi sues Louisiana in federal court, alleging state officials “will imminently bring an enforcement action” to bar its event contracts, pointing to public statements made between Dec. 2025 and Mar. 2026, amicus brief filings, and no assurances of non-enforcement.

Another standard thing any normal person does when staying at a friend’s house is not pay them any money
its just bonkers the new policy @airbnb is trying to put in place. Putting the dishes in the dishwasher, taking out the trash, pulling the sheets off the bed....they are just standard things any normal person would do when staying at a house. Why wouldn't a host be allowed to say that?
