Dan Hurley speaking about UConn's success in the NCAA Tournament
"The Big East is a monster and iron sharpens iron. We feel like once we get out of that league, again it should have been a six bid league... I just feel the league prepares us for these non-conference games."

I feel absolutely horrible for @StJohnsBBall @ProvidenceWBB @SetonHallMBB right now. Play in the best conference in the country and get shafted for completely undeserving teams like FAU, VA and Michigan State.

Providence was the only team in the country with 6+ Q1 wins left out of the NCAA Tournament
Michigan St, Virginia and FAU had a COMBINED 7 Q1 wins

Just studying the Draw & I think the Selection Committee did not give the RESPECT that the @BIGEAST deserved . Just ask anybody that knows basketball & they will tell you about the strength of the conference .@SetonHallMBB @PCFriarsmbb & @StJohnsBBall 🏀🏀🏀

This year, there 21 schools that have at least 6 Quad-1 wins. 19 of them are considered to be locks (7 seed or higher). The 2 that aren't are Texas A&M, with 5 Quad-3 losses, and @PCFriarsmbb, with 6 Quad-1 wins and 0 Quad-3/4 losses.
This shouldn't be a close call.

Some folks thought @PCFriarsmbb Devin Carter a controversial Big East POY pick over Tristen Newton. He currently has 12 points, 6 rebounds, two assists and a steal in 12 minutes.

No bubble team will have a bigger win today than the Providence Friars.
Just knocked off Creighton and will get Marquette-Villanova winner in the Big East semis.
Devin Carter went for 22 points, 11 boards and 4 assists.

Providence improves to 6-8 Q1 with wins over Creighton, Marquette, Wisc, SHU, St John’s and again over a HOT Creighton team at MSG. Also, no bad L’s which separates them from much of the bubble.
Also, are we really gonna keep Devin Carter out of the NCAA Tourney?

Work as hard at your vocation as Devin Carter's does at his.
On the verge of dragging Providence to the NCAA Tournament.

Western Reserve Academy, based out of Hudson, Ohio, won their first ever National Prep Championship last night with a 76-63 victory over Putnam Science Academy. A tremendous accomplishment for Providence grad Matt Garvey, who is in his first year as head coach. Rising star.
