That was the message of the Fourth Meeting of the Competition and Consumer Authorities of the Regional Economic Communities (RCCAs) of East African Community (EAC), the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU/UEMOA) which was held on 18-19 September 2026 in Banjul, Gambia on the sidelines of the inaugural annual ECOWAS Regional Competition Authority (ERCA) conference. The RCCAs meet annually to discuss matters of common interest in order to strengthen cross border cooperation and collaboration on competition and consumer protection matters.
