I trust Knight a hell of a lot more than those 2! Soderblom is very shaky tho.

What did I say...
The Boom is SO back

Tell Bedard to stay... Catch the flight to Finland... We can save him...

With Nikishin most likely playing tonight, there is one thing I hope to see no matter where he plays… SHOOT! A good chunk of the upside we were sold on is that booming shot. Apart from Ghost, this team doesn’t really have a threatening shot from the blue line. Showcase it.

Panthers fans, be honest. If Justin Herbert was available, would you make the trade?

Ah yes the classic “trash for cash” hockey trade. Detroit bumbles into the best scenario while all others involved take what they get and are forced to like it. It’s such an obvious solution… shocked they haven’t pulled it off yet.
Dylan Larkin trade framework that actually fits what Detroit should be chasing: Larkin → Minnesota Faulk → Carolina Futures + secondary pieces → Vancouver Detroit walks away with Elias Pettersson, Danila Yurov, and Alexander Nikishin. Minnesota gets the proven 1C. Carolina and Vancouver get the rest of the value to make the Pettersson and Nikishin side work. Too ambitious, or is there a realistic path if the retention and futures line up? #RedWings #LGRW #NHLTrade #Larkin #Pettersson #Yurov #Nikishin

Oh trust me some of us are…
I don't think enough people are talking about the start Sebastian Aho is having. 🔥

How is it that this guy is worth a top young center+ but they aren’t willing to pay him the big bucks and prefer to bridge him? Make it make sense.
Based on this ask from the Detroit Red Wings, here is what the return would probably look like from every team interested in Simon Edvinsson. Boston Bruins - James Hagens+ San Jose Sharks - Michael Misa+ Utah Mammoth - Caleb Desnoyers+ Montreal Canadiens - Michael Hage+ Toronto Maple Leafs - Easton Cowan+ Seattle Kraken - Berkly Catton+ The ask is HEAVY, is he worth it? 👀 #NHL #LGRW #NHLBruins #Leafs #SeaKraken #GoHabsGo #TusksUp #SJSharks

Should Jaccob Slavin deserve more love as a future Hockey Hall of Famer?

Division dominators 💪 The Carolina Hurricanes are 24-5-2 vs. Metro Division opponents since the start of last season (.806 points pct). No team has a better record against divisional opponents than Hurricanes in span.

Also per ESPN PR it’s Steve Levy and PK Subban calling the game tonight. On a completely unrelated note this reminder that you can stream the radio call of Mike and Tripp on 99.9 The Fan.

Nikishin continues his "training camp" in Finland. Valimaki has earned the two games in his home country. When they return, Nikishin will play to increase his value. Once traded, they recall Valimaki and he remains a regular unless they add a better D-man at the deadline.
If you think Valimaki should sit so Nikishin can play I would love to have a chat

Great article from Cory. Reading this puts into perspective how serious Seth's shoulder was for the last two to three seasons. It also baffles me that in 225 games Seth had 200 points, 97 of which were goals, WITH that shoulder. 👀👀👀 40 goals and 80+ points incoming?
Seth Jarvis looks like his normal, elite self since returning from shoulder surgery. A look at what the Hurricanes’ right wing played through, the surgery, his rehab and how he's feeling with five games under his belt. nsjonline.com/article/2026/1…

#CBJ putting F Danton Heinen on D Emil Andrae on waivers was to clear salary cap and roster space. And I think it's because something else is in the works.

Elliotte Friedman reports Jesperi Kotkaniemi’s resurgence has flipped his trade value. He could now be the centerpiece and cap-balancer in a massive Carolina push for Canucks center Elias Pettersson. Full cap breakdown and trade analysis here 👇 nhltraderumor.com/elias-pett…

I'm shocked at some of the players that have cleared waivers so far this year. No world-beaters but it baffles me that teams like Calgary, Vancouver, and Chicago aren't taking chances on some of these young guys.
