Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said "Today, the Medemer Book was launched in its Russian translation. I am immensely proud to have attended this historic event, which proves that the Medemer philosophy, born from Ethiopian indigenous knowledge, has crossed borders to achieve global impact. Having already been translated into English, Chinese, and Arabic, its expansion into the Russian-speaking world strengthens its international reach and diplomatic value. This milestone demonstrates that Ethiopia contributes mature, sophisticated ideas to the global community. Just as Russia has long inspired Ethiopian scholars, this marks a complete, mutual exchange of knowledge. I deeply appreciate the media professionals and leadership at Russia Today (RT) for their dedication to this project. This new chapter will build a powerful cultural and intellectual bridge between our peoples."
Ethiopia today taken delivery of the first twelve Su-35 4++ Generation fighter jets- PM Abiy Ahmed (PHD)
PM #Abiy Ahmed (PHD) said Our comprehensive efforts to sustainably ensure our country's peace and security have reached a new milestone today. The state of readiness being built within Ethiopia's defense forces is endowing the nation with the capability to preemptively deter aggression. In accordance with our prior agreement with the Russian government, we have today taken delivery of the first twelve Su-35 4++ Generation fighter jets. Additionally, Ethiopia will receive four S-400 air defense system batteries. I would like to express my gratitude to my friend, Russian President Vladimir Putin, for his dedication in ensuring we received these warplanes a year ahead of our agreed schedule. By equipping itself with these fighter jets, Ethiopia has taken the lead among Sub-Saharan African nations. This historic achievement further strengthens our nation's sovereignty, and it will serve as a massive capability boost that allows us to confidently continue our journey toward ensuring our collective security and regional stability in the future.

PM Abiy Ahmed inaugurate the Kechene–Ambassador–Gihon– Irreecha–Bambis Riverside Development
PM #Abiy Ahmed said "Today, we inaugurate the Kechene–Ambassador–Gihon– Irreecha–Bambis Riverside Development, a 351-hectare, 10-kilometer corridor advancing our vision of a modern, green, and inclusive Addis Ababa.
With pedestrian walkways, cycling lanes, and integrated transport infrastructure, this development creates a more accessible and liveable urban environment. Its children’s playgrounds, plazas and amphitheaters, sports facilities, and eight fountains and water features offer new spaces for recreation, social interaction, and community life. Parking facilities and eight electric vehicle charging centres, capable of charging over 100 vehicles simultaneously, further strengthen its modern infrastructure.
Through river management, soil and water conservation, and riverside green spaces, we are bringing environmental restoration together with urban transformation. Equally important, we are expanding economic opportunities. A dedicated market centre enables residents who previously lived along the river corridor to produce, display, and sell handicrafts, while an agricultural produce mall connects agricultural producers with markets.
Our vision is to build a city that is not only beautiful but also productive and inclusive; a city that serves its people today and generations to come!"
PM Abiy Ahmed's message
I was pleased to participate in the 12th Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa, held under the theme “Pathways to Peace in Africa: Economic Sovereignty and Geopolitical Transformation,” where I also delivered remarks.
The theme speaks to a reality we cannot ignore decisions made far beyond our borders can affect our citizens, our economic prospects, and our security. We cannot control every shock, but we can strengthen our resilience. For Africa, this means developing homegrown solutions, strengthening economic sovereignty, and deepening cooperation. Africa must not simply adapt to a changing global order; we must help shape it.
For Ethiopia, lasting peace is personal. It requires protecting civilians, upholding the constitutional order, and keeping the door open to dialogue. Through our commitment to the National Dialogue, we remain ready to welcome all who choose the path of peace.
The philosophy of Medemer reminds us that our strength lies in bringing our capacities together and developing solutions rooted in our own realities. We can build a more resilient, peaceful, and prosperous continent while taking a greater role in shaping the world our future generations will inherit.
