On last Wednesday’s Yankees press conferences and letting the fanbase down…

Boone on if there's anything that has kept him up at night the last couple of weeks after the Yankees ALDS loss and things he might have done differently: "It hurts when you lose...this team did a lot of the intangible things really, really well, going back to spring training."
Aaron Boone on the Yankees failing so far in his tenure to get through October and win a title: "I believe it can happen with me at the helm. I think I’m good at my job."
Brian Cashman, seated next to Hal Steinbrenner, said he has a new contract with the Yankees. Just a few details to be worked out but "we're locked and loaded."
Cashman’s contract is up at the end of the month. Guessing they’re not going to send him out for a press conference until a new contract is worked out and then they’ll go from there with their 2026 season wrap up…

Boone: “the ending’s terrible…it’s a broken clubhouse…we just didn’t hit enough to score enough and they did.”
And here we have a moment: Giancarlo Stanton pinch hitting with one on and two outs in the eighth, the Yankees down 4-3. Rays manager Kevin Cash counters by going to righty Kevin Kelly
A loud "bull (feces)" chant from the Yankee Stadium crowd after that HBP is upheld by replay review...
That seems like the right call. Fan clearly reached into the field of play but LF pretty clearly wasn't going to catch it. Lombard, a good runner, is running on contact and all but likely scores if the ball clanks off the top of the wall.
Fried retires the first two hitters of the sixth but a Caminero single and two-run HR by Victor Mesa Jr. suddenly has the Rays ahead 4-2
The Yankees offense has twice immediately bounced back tonight after falling behind. Jones' two-out, RBI double in the bottom of the fourth ties it at 2-2 after the Vilade homer in the top half
Yankees tie it at 1-1 in the third. Make Martinez throw 24 pitches in the inning, leaving him at 48 pitches through three
Austin Wells was much better challenging pitches from behind the plate then when standing at the plate, evidenced again just now
