😂EJ should get dad of the decade dealing with those three on the show @ESPNNBA
"I'm the dad driving cross country with these three guys in the back seat saying, 'One more peep out of you and I'm turning this thing around!'"🤣

Teachers, Whoever Planned This Upcoming Week Owes Us All a BONUS! 😂
This week will include:
🌕 A full moon
❤️ Red Ribbon Week
🎃 Halloween
⏰ A time change
ALL IN THE SAME WEEK?! What could possibly go wrong?! 😂
The Official Teacher Survival Guide:
☕ Coffee. Then more coffee.
🍫 Emergency chocolate is now an essential school supply.
👟 Wear sneakers. You’ll hit 10,000 steps before lunch.
😂 Laugh often. Some things are just too funny.
🧘 Take deep breaths. Preferably somewhere nobody is yelling your name.
🎃 Embrace the craziness. Make memories. Have fun!
❤️ Give yourself, your students, and your coworkers a little extra grace.
And principals… donuts & coffee instead of observations this week would be greatly appreciated! 😂
Seriously, these are the weeks kids remember. Enjoy the costumes, the laughter, the excitement, and all those wonderfully ridiculous moments that make teaching special.
But if there was EVER a week that called for a professional RECOVERY day… THIS IS IT!
TEACHERS: What’s your best survival tip for this week? Funny answers only! 😂

Similar to the discussion of 🏀player going 90% of a game and not touching the ball. Other ways to influence the game
Interesting fact: A high school football game has 48 minutes on the clock.
But a study found the average play lasts just 5.6 seconds. At 130 plays, that’s roughly 12 minutes of actual action between BOTH teams.
Months in the weight room. Summer heat. Film. Practice. All for opportunities measured in literal seconds.
And you don’t know which 5.6 seconds will decide the game.
That backside block you took off? The pursuit you cut short because somebody else would get him?
That might’ve been it.

SAY IT ONE MORE TIME FOR THE PEOPLE NOT PAYING ATTENTION!!
Parents, your son's head coach gets calls from college coaches during the season
When that call comes, the college coach is not asking about stats
He is asking what kind of kid your son is. How he handles adversity. Whether the team respects him. If he shows up every day or just on game nights.
That phone call can open a door or close one

Some of the most important teaching happens when a student is ready to give up on themselves.
Maybe they've failed another test, stopped turning in assignments, or decided they're just not good at a particular subject.
A teacher can make a difference in those moments by refusing to let one difficult stretch define what comes next.
That might mean sitting down to figure out where the student is getting stuck, giving them another opportunity to demonstrate what they've learned, or following up after a difficult conversation instead of pretending it never happened.
The academic work still matters. Students need to learn the material, meet expectations, and take responsibility for their progress.
But years later, they may also remember the teacher who kept helping them find a way forward when they were ready to quit.

Many parents will say they want a coach who holds their child accountable…
Until the coach holds some of their children accountable.
Then we need a meeting, two administrators, game film, witness statements, and possibly congressional oversight.

Baylor football is wearing a six-year-old's artwork on their helmets today.
Her name is ILaria Ramirez. She is from Cameron, Texas.
She is a patient at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center.
Here is how it happened.
Baylor players went over to the children's hospital and sat down with the pediatric patients. Not a photo op, not a walk through and wave. They actually sat down at tables with the kids and drew together.
Blank Baylor Bear heads. Markers. Make it yours.
ILaria made hers pink and teal. She put a bear right in the middle of it.
And then she did two things that nobody told her to do.
She gave it a name. She called it the Helmet of Hope.
And she picked three words to go around the edge of it.
FAITH.
VICTORY.
STRENGTH.
A six-year-old chose those. Not a marketing department. Not a coach. Not her parents. Her.
Baylor took her drawing, turned it into a decal, and put it on every single helmet for today's Gold Rush game against Louisiana Tech.
Not a sticker on one guy's helmet. Not a patch on the sleeve.
Every player on the field wearing a first grader's bear on the side of their head.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and gold is the color for it worldwide. Baylor asked the entire stadium to wear gold today.
Head coach Dave Aranda on why:
"ILaria is one of us, and so we represent her and want her and her family to know that we're fighting along with her."
And linebacker Kyler Jordan, on what today actually is:
"Way bigger than football."
Here is the number that sits underneath all of this.
Nearly 1 in 285 Americans will be diagnosed with cancer before they turn 20.
One in 285. Before 20 years old.
Which means in a stadium that holds 45,000 people, the math says a few hundred of them have already been through some version of what ILaria is going through right now.
That is why the gold matters. That is why a helmet decal matters.
Somewhere in that building today there is a kid who knows exactly what a hospital room looks like, watching a Division I football team run out of the tunnel wearing a drawing made by a girl who is six.
FAITH. VICTORY. STRENGTH.
She picked those words herself.
