First off, a huge thank you to the early Glitch Homiez investors. We've got our first 10 minted!
Now, originally, I sketched out a Homie and used Java to generate the collection so we could get things moving.
But we have a rule around here.
NO SHIT LEAVES THE YARD.
And apparently, I can only stare at generated artwork for so long before my brain decides it needs to be significantly more disturbing.
So I spent the last 18 hours redrawing all 108 assets in my own twisted art style.
Because who needs sleep when you can voluntarily create 108 new problems?
The entire collection is getting a major visual refresh TODAY.
But here's where things got completely out of hand.
While working through gameplay, we decided these Homiez needed somewhere to live.
Not a profile page. Not some glorified NFT gallery.
AN ENTIRE INTERACTIVE CITY.
Own the streets. Run your gang. Perform hits. Slang NFTs on the corner. Run from the SEC. Tag a wall and watch your graffiti stay there until somebody comes along and paints over it. Hire security to protect your territory.
And here's my favorite part.
Every Homie you own becomes a controllable NPC in your crew.
Send them on missions, put them to work, build your operation, all while you're out playing your favorite Homie.
So yeah, what started as an NFT collection has somehow turned into a persistent, interactive criminal empire populated by your collectibles.
This isn't just another NFT project. We're building an entire metaverse.
I really need to stop having ideas after midnight.

I had @grok make this @bot to see if I can find those who liked, reposted or simply interacted with my posts so I can give them a follow back.
Give it a try to see if it works for you.

GLITCH HOMIEZ IS NOW MINTING ON SOL!
Trade in NFTs from defunct projects or mint a fresh Homie. Either way, we're giving abandoned projects a second chance at something useful.
And apparently we're giving away free Homiez while we're at it.
For every 20 Homiez minted, we're picking 1 person for a FREE AIRDROP!
Want a shot?

One of life's harder lessons is understanding that people are going to disappoint you. Not everyone operates with the same consideration, loyalty, integrity, or intentions that you do.
You can't control how people show up for you. You can only decide what you're willing to accept once they show you who they are.

I got rugged in crypto a couple of times. So naturally, I'm thinking about launching an NFT project.
Apparently, I don't learn lessons. I turn them into business models.
The other night, we were having a conversation about why I don't really mess with crypto anymore.
After a couple of NFT rug pulls, I lost my appetite for the whole circus.
Not because I hated NFTs.
Quite the opposite. I always loved the concept. Digital ownership, collectibles, community, utility. There was something genuinely interesting there.
What I didn't love was watching projects collect millions, disappear, and leave everyone holding expensive reminders of someone else's retirement plan.
I've said for years that I wished somebody would build a service where people could trade in their defunct, rugged, or abandoned NFTs for something with actual utility.
Not another promise.
Not another roadmap to nowhere.
Something connected to real projects, products, and experiences.
Then somebody asked a rather inconvenient question.
"Why don't you build it yourself?"
Well, shoot.
Here's the thing.
Over the years, I've built an ecosystem spanning real estate ventures, a clothing brand, multiple games, a social network, and other projects.
What if those abandoned NFTs could be exchanged for new collectibles with utility across that ecosystem?
Game assets. Digital identities. Merchandise perks. Community access. Experiences. Things we can actually build and deliver.
Instead of asking people to believe in some imaginary future ecosystem, why not connect the idea to one that's already being built?
And the more I thought about it, the more ridiculous it seemed that nobody had made this a thing.
So I picked up DefunctNFT.com.
The concept is simple.
Your NFT project died. That doesn't mean your NFT has to.
I don't want to reinvent crypto speculation. I want to explore whether we can give abandoned digital collectibles a second life.
No promises of getting rich. No magical floor-price predictions. No cartoon monkey retirement plans.
Just the possibility of turning something abandoned into something useful again.
Because apparently, when life hands me a rug pull, my first instinct is to build a damn business out of the rug.
Now Minting!
Would you trade an NFT from a dead project for one with actual utility?

Hi, we're the Defunct NFT Collective, the team behind defunctNFT.com. If you hold NFTs from an Ethereum project whose team rugged or walked away, we're building a place to trade them for NFTs from projects that are still alive. No wallet connect needed to look around
