Together w @LTonzer, @econcyclist & Eleonora Sfrappini, we show here bit.ly/2QmGwtm that the BRRD increased WACC of EU banks significantly. Effect is driven by higher equity weights, so more resilient banks. But in core EMU, banks pass higher WACC on to borrowers.
